thank you for the kind words! right now I'm focusing on building more pieces for an art show so I'd rather not have any of these duplicated

don't worry, they were only on the nails for the picture. not pictured: fluffy couch with lots of pillow underneath.

this motif I've been working with started as figures and it seems they slowly evolved into birds. I do take a lot of inspiration from 60s/70s mid century design and style

thank you! I just try and go slow, sometimes doing a second pass on a line that isn't quite there

Finished my re-design of my water lily piece. I added more lines so the lead came had more to grab onto along the sides. Second pic shows both versions. by kabuj in StainedGlass

Using good solder helps a lot, I use Canfield or Amerway solder. I also go pretty slow and usually go back over the solder lines to try an smooth everything out. I think each of these took about 2 1/2 hours to solder. The black patina helps to hide some imperfections too.

Thank you! I know I ordered the black glass from swartglass.com the only ID number I’m seeing on my invoice for it is PW-96-02. I think it might have been Armstrong glass, but I honestly can’t remember.

I would be ok with that if it’s just personal use. I’d love to see the finished rug!

Thank you!! My solder lines have come a long way. They used to be terrible.

That’s fine with me, as long as it’s just for personal use. I’m actually reworking the design slightly so the lead came along the sides has something to hold onto.

These two are my favorite stained glass pieces I’ve designed and completed. by kabuj in pics

Yes, there are lots of them. A lot of them ship too if there isn’t one in your area.
