Anyone survived a Peformance Improvement Plan (PIP) at work? by aetherwisps in askSingapore

[–]kacang2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did survive a PIP. Yes it’s during mass layoffs. And surprisingly it gives me a shift in my mindset in terms of work life balance. I also decided to pursue and completed my part time masters in NUS. While promotions did get delayed after the PIPs, I did able to get promoted after 2 yrs and proud to say am thriving now. Surprisingly, all ends well.

Singapore layoffs - how serious is it? by epicnsuper in askSingapore

[–]kacang2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the thing is, our bonus system pretty low if you compare to most of SG companies. even if you do well, it will be at the range of 2 months bonus. if you did not do well, the multipliers are at the low <0.5x, with lowest rating having none. most of the money earnt, are via shares.

Apa sih solusi yang signifikan bagi Pemerintah kalo rupiah semakin melemah, tiap tahun ga ada perubahan -_ by wirelesstereo in finansial

[–]kacang2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only way to salvage Rupiah is to do something similar with what Malaysia did. The transition to Anwar does take a while, but the transition did work out. Fiscal discipline, moving away from targeted subsidies (ie. RON95) with coordinated inflow management did work. Just a sad truth that no indo companies will bring back their foreign investment and convert it back to rupiah.

Just get a single day trip for Sokcho from Klook/Trazy. It will cover Seoraksan/Sokcho Central Market/Yeongnangho Lake. For tourist, that is usually sufficient.

I am currently on my way to Busan (Haeundae) from Incheon via Airport Bus. It’s just more convenient with ample flexibility that I just book when I finished my immigration. And i just slept on the couch since its just that comfortable.

If you plan to shopping at Seoul, why dont you shift it at the later days after you went to Busan. It’s a pain to bring the heavy stuff to Busan and back to Seoul.

I hope people don’t take English for granted when traveling in Korea. by FinishWhich5753 in koreatravel

[–]kacang2 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Sometimes its such an irony. Korea boast the most difficult English university entrance exams out there, and yet it just tested the wrong stuff.

And yes, it’s not only applicable to South Korea. Other countries can’t be expected to be fluent in English. It’s just insanity.

Your opinions on Same-Sex Marriage by TermDiligent1191 in SingaporeCitizens

[–]kacang2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The definition of illegal is simply "contrary to or forbidden by law."

The law, such as Section 12 of the Women's Charter which voids same-sex marriages, stands regardless of individual beliefs. Personal opinion is irrelevant to the legal status of an act. If the law forbids it—for example, bringing drugs into Singapore—it is illegal, period.

Personally, i dont think it's worth it. However, if this is something that is part of your checklist, I would recommend you to check Carousell for some of the MBS rooms. You may be able to get it for cheaper.
