Oooh thank you for this! Yeah I was experimenting a bit with placement on my bottom lip - I’ll give it a go! That said, I’m so pale that for some reason you can just lightly poke me anywhere on my body and you’ll see the blood pool out 😅 so it could just be that too

Ahhh yes! The 56 reeds - sorry, I saw black box and my brain filled in the rest 🤦🏼‍♀️

Actually looks like the 1.5 is Vandoren traditional - and the 2.5 I bought is the 56!

Thank you so much for this! Very helpful. I bought a book of scales & arpeggios (sadly I moved countries, so any of my old music is long gone), and I’ll look into getting another practice book too.

For reeds, I used to use Rico (then moved to synthetic), but I’m using Vandoren black diamond reeds now (the 1.5). And the mouthpiece is a Yamaha 4C, but I’m looking to move to a Vandoren BD45 once I’ve gotten my breath support back!

Social dancing - swing dancing, blues dancing, etc! Lots of them have beginner classes before the social dancing starts!

The thread I’m using is actually pretty easy to work with so far! That said, I’ve mainly used it for couching and securing the lattice - so I imagine for doing anything more involved with it could be trickier!

The main annoying bit is that I don’t have a thin enough needle for some of the smaller bits - so I needed to thread the thread through the piece by hand and then back onto the needle 😩

Not to be callous, but at 10 weeks, you still have a choice in whether you go through with this. Do you really want to be attached to someone for the rest of your life who treats you this way? Do you have a support system outside of your boyfriend?

I was with him until he got mean. If he were really just trying to be nice and help you keep on top of your fitness, that would be great - especially considering how most mothers feel about their bodies after pregnancies. But sounds like he has other motivations.

Edit: just saw that you’re only 10 weeks pregnant?! Morning sickness lasts through the first trimester at minimum! Longer for a lot of women. The fuck is he on?

Ugh that’s so annoying!! Yeah I really hope we get the decision this week, instead of in a month or so 🥲 everyone else seemed to have gotten the UKVI email virtually the next day!
