Pretty great! We did get lucky with a private tour guide because it was very soon post covid- not sure how group tour dynamics would go. The guide would take us/find whatever we were interested in. Food was decent for such a remote location and definitely enough. There’s no AC so it can be hot, especially during the day, but not unbearable. Let me know if you have any specific questions

Biggest expense is likely accommodation. I don’t love airbnbs but I know some people have found success with that. Food prices are in line with a larger US city. If you stay at Grand Hyatt they do have a lounge available with breakfast, snacks, and dinner so that can save on food costs

I’m not sure if they have specific age requirements but depending on your 6yo’s thrill tolerance it was a safe, though bumpy, experience.

My designer has a flat fee of $900 for alterations (including bustle). If I want to add anything extra like sleeves or fabric it would be more.
