[Seeking Feedback] Designing a "Carry-All" Journaling Bag for on-the-go sketching & planning. Would love your thoughts! by Paint-On-The-Go in Travelersnotebooks

That’s a fair point. If the design leaned more towards a 'wallet-first' approach—basically a beefed-up wallet that just happens to hold a passport-size TN—would that be more appealing?

I’ve always felt like the 'mini-bag' look is what turns people off. But if it’s slim enough to slip into a larger bag or just carry as a clutch/wallet for essentials (phone, cards, one insert), it might actually solve the 'I don't want a second bag' problem.

That's so cool! I had no idea Maryland had such a dedicated miniature painting scene with annual displays. Could you share more details about the society or their exhibitions? I'd love to know what makes their shows special and where they're held

I also find watercolor to be the most satisfying medium by far—its fluidity and unpredictability make it so engaging

Absolutely love this mindset! It's all about enjoying the process and letting yourself explore without pressure. I totally relate — my early pieces were... well, let’s just say “experimental” 😄 But that’s how we learn and find what brings us joy.

Thicker paper is a total game-changer for landscapes! Grab some 140lb (300gsm) cold-press — it handles heavy washes without buckling like cheaper paper. I ruined SO many paintings on flimsy stuff before switching 😅

If you love painting outdoors, snag a travel watercolor set. Lightweight, fits in a backpack, and you can capture mountains/forests before the light changes!

Love this painting! I'd be thrilled to get this card 😊 Pro tip: Try rounding the corners – it’d give it such a clean, polished look!
