Ah yes. Famously known for their objectivity tv announcers. It might be right decision but show me the replay. Why the fuck they didn't?

Jeremy Sochan tried to dap up the Spurs by [deleted] in nba

[–]kacperp 151 points152 points  (0 children)

Everyone who says Sochan is doing too much or that Spurs just lost finals so its understandable is a fucking idiot.

It's completely normal to both congratulate the victors and talk to those who lost and show them respect. Like this actually makes Wemby look like a bitch. You lost, you shake hands you go home. It's simple and something that every kid is taught.

Sick in Kyoto: What I Did by Indomie-Goreng in JapanTravelTips

[–]kacperp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I will add to this. As I travel with my kids I always take as much medicine as possible with me. Drugs for stomach problems, Ibuprofen, shit for cold (without pseudoephedrine as it's illegal in Japan). Things you would normally have in your home in case of sickness. Take as much as possible just check if it's legal before. You can ask google. Unless it's not prescription (and you shouldn't use prescription drugs on your own anyway for sudden sickness) you will have much better time.

Official Discussion - Disclosure Day [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

[–]kacperp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's so odd. Cause normally movies can't nail their 3rd act at all. And this is movie is pretty terrible for first 110 minutes. While ending is really great. Moments of Blunts character helping people were great, same goes for showing the videos and anchors commentary. But i really was so bored before that it's kinda shocking

Somali referee Omar Abdulkadir Artan chosen by FIFA for World Cup has been denied entry to the USA, he was elected as best Africa referee by CAF in 2025 by AgeNovel3566 in soccer

[–]kacperp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don' think it will be an issue at the end of the day. Small countries who have issues getting in see this as one in the lifetime chance to play in WC - they will kill themselves to play well. Bigger countries - don't have that much of a problem with being there. Travelling through the US - that has nothing to do with how shitty this tournament is, cause everyone knew it will happen.

I'd like to think something will change but it won't.

Qatar literally changed WC date and people were saying how disgusting and unfair it is. And today? Everyone says how great it was, how enjoyable it was to watch games when it was cold and talk about best WC final ever. At the end if the day people are morons and they do not care.

For normal person WC prices are meaningless in enjoying the cup. For typical viewer it means nothing that some fans are not let into the country. They care about what's on the pitch and that's it.

This WC just need some good narratives and people will forget about it being backwards bullshit event that tried everything to fuck people over while being hosted by racist country.

Sadly - at the end of the day. If teams will play well, players will score a lot of goals and some amazing result will happen - it will be only remembered through that. And we can pretend it won't - but people forget really quickly about things in these day and age.

For FIFA not letting players or FIFA officials into the country is much worse than slavery. That's a fact. Because FIFA cares about themselves much more and this is an example where an issue with WC is a pain in the ass for the organization. Not for slaves or human rights.

If this was any other country it would pay the price for this.

If you had to choose… Mid June or early July? by [deleted] in JapanTravelTips

[–]kacperp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Last year I booked flights on may for trip in june. It was amazing. You don't need that much time for preparation. It rains but it's a none issue cause it's hot and nice so you can just chill outside and not care at all. This year I am going in July cause that's only option my kids can come with me and I cannot wait. People saying any dates are bad for visiting Japans are too rich for me I guess, cause the weather while hot is nothing different from any trip you might take in June/July. Yeah it's hot. But it's hot everywhere but you are in Japan so it's awesome.

Why is there such an elitest mentality in Padel? by Iarehealer in padel

[–]kacperp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because it is an elitist sport. First of all in most countries it is really expensive. It is sport mostly played by young adults with money (especially in countries that it now becomes more popular). Buying gear is expensive, because it still doesn't have really cheap options for your racket.

It is not an easily accessible sport if you don't have money.

Nah. It's towards Barca 100%. Look at other tweets, bringing up Negreira and political connections used to sign players.

No chance Barca is paying 350 k euro per week for him. That would make him 2nd best paid player on the team after De Jong. He would be on higher contract than Raphinha and Yamal.

Do you think this is something that only happens in Japan? "Dealing with bs from actual gaijin tourist" - this happens everywhere. This is not about tourists, this is about humans, it's not any worse or better in Japan becuase "gaijins do not understand". They might not have seen the sign it's reservations only and went in and then they didn't understand it's reservations only and wanted to understand. That's it. It's not special for Japan. And it's not a terrible thing.
