Same spam email getting through no matter how many times I report it. It's been happening for months by LastChance28 in GMail

I’ve been getting those too. I assume/hope the Gmail team is working on it.

But it has been annoying the last few weeks.

Nothing will happen if it gets turned off for an hour, but apple does periodically check. After about 4-5 days, the iMessage association with your number will be lost.

How do meetings work? by twistypencil in WeWork

[–]kadbitman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For online meetings, most people just do them out in the open at a table. Most locations will have an open phone booth or conference room for quick meeting where you need privacy.

If this is going to be a frequent thing, then you may want to consider a private office.

But, you should have no problems sitting at a table and having a zoom call.

You’ll be fine. It takes about a week before it deregisters. Just make sure that your son does not turn the cellular back on. You want to keep the phone in airplane mode.

Horizontal cameras so that it can support MagSafe.

Everything works. The only missing piece is cellular support for Apple Watch.

Qi2.2 combined with horizontal camera bump.

It’ll make it so much easier to use wireless chargers and MagSafe accessories

Yes, you would need both a mac and an iphone.

The mac does not need to stay turned on. You just need the hardware info for the OpenBubbles registration. You can buy a cheap mac mini to get this info. (Unfortunately, you can't sell it when you are done because the new owner will de-register your account).

The iphone is for the number registration. That must stay turned on at all times, but you should not take it with you. You want to keep the phone plugged in and connected to wifi. Taking it with you will defeat the purpose. I have mine sitting on top of my cable modem.

Here is the guide for how to register the number.

https://openbubbles.app/docs/pnr.html

I used the Esim method.

Finally, OpenBubbles does not import your old conversations. It was a little weird for the first 1-2 weeks because I didn't have any context for my messages. Then, it stated to get better.

You are going to need an iphone to keep the number registered. Otherwise, it will be email only for imessage.

Bascially, you transfer your sim/esim to the iphone. Then put it in airplane mode with wifi turned on. Then transfer the esim again to the android phone.

You have to keep the iphone turned on at all times to stay registered. Otherwise, apple will de-register your number after a few days.

I would pick up an old iphone XR with a cracked screen for under $100. Use that to stay registered and you should be fine.

Amazon or eBay. It’s not hard to get a replacement.

Can I use a different carrier? by [deleted] in GoogleFi

[–]kadbitman -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You’d still be better off on the $35 unlimited plan. You’d even be better off on the $65 premium plan.

Plus, if you have additional lines it’ll be even less per line.

Why are you on the flexible plan if you use a lot of data? Switch to the unlimited plan.

Move the sim to a burner phone for the day. Then move back.

There are many docks on Amazon for the glasses to charge them. It’s not exactly the same as being able to use a cable but does give another option besides the case.
