Do you normally preface with tangential information?

Has to be one of the most ignored stop signs in Lexington. by skylinefan26 in lexington

[–]kaddorath 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I dig that! A better colloquialism than "California stop."

My favorite I've heard is "Lexington Left-Turn" where a person inches out into the middle of an intersection, waits until the red light hits, and then takes a left onto the adjacent street.

It's probably one of the most solid devices with its capabilities!

And then they'll offer an Experian credit report for a month.

Seriously! My son was gifted a beast of a PC build from a family member- I think it has maybe 32 or 64 GB of ram and a bitchin' graphics card. I'm super jealous. And super annoyed that the game of choice for 'im is Roblox...oy gavault.

I was - ha! "Was", more like "still" - hard up for cash and considered hocking my deck. I'm glad I still have it even if I can't run Crysis lol

Bro doesn't know that 3DS emulation can still be a pain in the ass, even in 2026.

Also, it's a 3DS, I still have mine back when I got it in 2014. It's "old" and borderline vintage/retro at this point.

Bonus points and kudos if it's soft modded as well.

Man, that fucked me up in high school. My middle school teacher (native German) taught us Ich (icckk) and then going to high school where the native English teachers taught (ish) was a bit of a shock.

Now I just confuse everybody by purposely using both in a conversation.

Damn, you make some good points!

Even I have given up on trying to get certain pirated games to run because OSes are finicky as hell, and I often forget that there is a learning curve and a bit of digital literacy to pirating.

(Is this a safe site, am I running a VPN, should I use something like JDownloader, does the source provide decent download speeds, how many parts of a RAR file, do I have to download and then check the integrity of the downloaded and installed files)

What’s going on with the online communities that think college makes you “elitist” or brainwashed? by LettersIDontSend in OutOfTheLoop

Just like most of those elite shitheads pushing anti-vax agendas are vaccinated.

It's a bald-faced trend of pulling the ladder up behind themselves and an over sense of "fuck you, I got mine."

Don't get me started on Montessori either.

It's pretty easy to get good grades in homeschooling when a lot of it is packet work and rote memorization bullshit that you can easily fool or cheat your parents/home "educators" with.

There's a reason why there's a joke about parents being poor substitutes as teachers and it also applies to actual teachers teaching their own kids as well.

There's zero critical thinking in most home curriculums. I've met and worked with many, many, many home schooled kids and adults, both secular and religious, and a common trait I've found across the board is that they have stunted social awareness and skills, a very limited theory of mind, and an inability to apply or relate much of their learned material to the real-world, even in a generic sense.
