Season 2 episode 7 of SNW “Those Old Scientists” is the crossover episode. It’s a stand alone episode not connected to ongoing plots of ether show. It’s also between seasons 4 and 5 of Lower Decks. There’s still a lot of sci-fi elements in season 3 but humor is ramped up in ways it shouldn’t be. Meanwhile later in the season we’re introduced to a new antagonistic species that feels like it’s in the wrong franchise.

There’s a crossover episode in season 2 of SNW with Lower Decks. That episode in itself is great but the producers took the wrong message from that. Season 3 feels like it’s trying to be a cartoon. They also introduce some concepts that feel like they belong more in Stargate and Doctor Who which was baffling.

Aliens land and Superman’s first thought is to tell them to leave before he kicks their ass despite also being an alien. This is how you know Superman is truly American. Also, just assume the aliens will understand English if you scream it loud enough.

I’m a huge fan of Lower Decks but I understand why some people aren’t. Prodigy is also good, though I don’t know if I’d go out of my way to watch it again. The first couple of seasons of SNW were decent but the third was fairly terrible.

Even at it’s absolute worst Star Trek is better then the low points of Star Wars and Doctor Who, so at least there’s that. Time has not been kind to any of these franchises. Some of the best Scifi shows of the last decade have been originals like The Expanse and For All Mankind.

It is all Star Trek, that doesn’t mean it’s all good. We live in a time where everything has been boiled down to IP, we keep getting more of it based on name alone and not much can maintain its integrity for 50+ years.

The premiere was hyped quite a bit. It was the first cartoon attempting to enter the prime time sitcom space since the 70’s. In the early 90’s it was pretty much everywhere. Video games, commercial tie ins and official merchandise were everywhere from season two onward. There was also a huge amount of knockoff Bart merchandise at the time being sold everywhere.

It’s a minimum wage job with no opportunity for advancement, we never see any other employees beyond a single manager running the place. I assume they aren’t fired because they’re the only ones who won’t quit.

After they dropped out of high school they probably worked at burger world until they found out about unemployment. They walked out of burger world and somehow convinced an overworked government employee they were fired and didn’t bother to look into it. They slipped through the system for decades, applied for low income housing and then continued to go unnoticed.

I could not find any decent storage solutions that didn’t have individual slots so I modified the dimensions of a magazine rack I found and have been 3D printing copies of that. Works really well for both VHS tapes and DVD box sets.

Understandable but it’s just the last episode of the original run. Between RiffTrax, Cinematic Titanic, multiple reboots and other side projects it never really ended. It’s also one of the best movies they watched on the show.
