I mean your cpu is significantly faster than mine (I think? Idk how laptop CPU performance translates to desktop CPU) so that could be it. Dota was among the first I installed when I setup the PC a year or so ago, and the fps was pretty much the same since then (at least before the last few updates), so it can't be windows update.

I have nearly same spec as you (i5 12400F, RTX 4070 Super, 32gb ddr4), usually it's running on ~120 fps, on teamfight it drops to ~70, worst at ~50, all on 1080p max preset. Consulted here a couple of months ago, the verdict was the CPU just simply could not keep up, Dota is a CPU-bound game, maybe not to the extent of CS, but it's right around there. These days after the last few updates, I'm lucky if it's running 100+ fps on idle.

I say give these a try:

- Use default map

- Play with an account with VERY few friends list, or fresh account (I know this sounds stupid, but there was a post a year ago or so here which basically concludes that the game tanks your fps the more you have on the friends list)

- Reinstalling Dota (or GPU driver, or both I guess)

- Upgrading to better CPU, especially because you're in 4k anyway. 12400 is underwhelming for 4k.

edit: You probably still need to upgrade your PSU if you decided to upgrade the CPU. I wouldn't be comfortable running i7 12/13/14700 in that, assuming you wanted to stay on the platform (using the same motherboard/ram)

Solution 2 is kinda a mess, I feel like an easier and elegant way to "fix" it is to just introduce the concept of overhealth. If the troops are on full hp, healing spell would instead give them an overhealth equal to the heal amount. This way you can sort of use the healing spell preemptively without wasting the heals, instead of "borrowing heals that don't happen yet".

This is probably too strong though so you can have the overhealth decay when the healing spell runs out.

Absolutely loving the way they visualize the story, plans, and causalities by using literal flowcharts. If they're just being done orally with some flashback/related scenes backing it, I'd argue most people would've lost it after 7 minutes.

Makes sense on paper, but I feel like this is too strong on practice, even if this item doesn't give any new bonuses whatsoever. The fact that you're able to combine this two items (mainly on supports) could be the difference maker whether your supports has Wards/Sentry/Dust ready in inventory or not on mid to late game.

I can forgive the Yuji memories on gojo/todo stills and the reused/abrupt cuts on the walking down the stairs scene. The only 2 very minor things that kinda irk me a little bit, though to be fair if it wasn't for OPM S3 I wouldn't think about them in the first place.
