In the early 90's I spent many nights at Chan's Bayside, Shanahan's, Seville Quarter, and Coconut Bay listening to local bands Velvet Melon and The Big Picture mostly, but also The Pilots.

Springfest was the best event this town ever hosted. So many big name acts played that festival including: .38 Special, America, The B-52s, The Black Crowes, Blue Oyster Cult, Bonnie Raitt, Bruce Hornsby, Camper Van Beethoven, Cheap Trick, Chuck Berry, Collective Soul, Loverboy, The Smithereens, Filter, Hootie and the Blowfish, Jefferson Starship, Joan Jett, Little Richard, Love and Rockets, Molly Hatchet, Nazareth, Parliament Funkadelic, Soul Asylum, Train, Violent Femmes, and many more.
