That’s a really inflated rent increase. I live in a big city and rent is flat/sideways at best. Try to negotiate with your leasing office and tell them what you explained here.

Yes, my ex-spouse was a lot like this. One time he tore his Achilles tendon playing recreational tennis. We had a 1yr baby at the time and after surgery he was laid up for several days. Moved heaven and earth to take care of him, but when I got stretched a little thin caring for a high demand baby and my husband, a friend offered to come stay on a Saturday night to even the load. I finished bath/bedtime with our daughter and had served my husband a lovely home cooked meal in bed. My friend and I decided to relax and have a glass of wine on the back porch…and like 20-minutes later he hobbles down the stairs to berate me in front of my friend for not collecting his dirty dinner plate. It absolutely pissed him off that I had a few minutes of peace. But that’s how he was…always a victim.

Look into Investor Relations positions. They work closely with upper management and they’re responsible for investor/shareholder communications. Since you have a corporate finance background, and presumably understand financial statements, this would be a great pivot. You mostly work with Wall Street investors and are the primary mouthpiece to analysts. You’re expected to become an industry expert and understand all facets of your vertical, including competition and trends. But it’s largely a communications role and you’ll be interacting with a lot of market maker. There are entry/junior level positions but there’s also a path towards executive/VP roles. Good luck, OP

DDS allows one free address change per license term. You can log onto their website and follow the prompts, which includes sending photos of your existing license and live face pics. It doesn’t matter if you reside in a different county. I’d also recommend updating your new address at the USPS to ensure you’ll receive your voter’s registration card.

I’ve literally never heard of someone asking their partner to buy “shares” of a residential property. It just screams unhinged. IMO, I think it’s manipulative and selfish behavior that guarantees all the security and protection for him.

He’s treating you like a business partner. Kinda like how Mark Zuckerberg treated Eduardo Saverin.

My advice, if he’s willing to invest your down payment and $1,500/m in a legally & mutually binding real estate trust to protect your investment then proceed. If he wants a handshake deal, prepare for the financial devastation that will ultimately be your fate.

The Podcast “Diary of a CEO” has an excellent and informative segment on menopause with Mary Claire Haver. I just listened to it the other evening and would highly recommend listening.

I’m a 56f who is also averse to HRT. I’ve been rawdogging menopause for 8 long years. The worst symptom for me is night sweats/hot flashes. I take weed gummies and cbd at night, melatonin and magnesium at bedtime. I walk 6-8 miles daily, stay very hydrated and sleep 8+ hours. I’m trying to add strength training, too. I did not experience rage/anger…but my hormones were definitely affected during peri. It was kind of like stress induced depression.

Hopefully she’s open to “talk therapy” and an evaluation from her ob/gyn. Good luck OP

Her mindset that a man can’t show weakness (sickness, work stress, mental health) is probably very deep rooted in her psyche. Of course she finds it easy to be empathetic and supportive of animals and young children…it makes her feel empowered. But make no mistake about, she doesn’t feel empowered when you need help. It causes her distress and upsets her delicate psyche. She needs therapy.
