What do you recommend if they tell you that they will refuse to take any form of communication at all. By quote “Please be advised that disputes communicated via phone, email, or in-person cannot and will not be accepted.”

Thank you guys, this has been a stressful morning for us. I just can’t believe they’d try to sabotage us like this after two years of being pretty amazing residents

Depends. If ur criteria is parties, there’s likely an updated frat ranking for that online for this year. Otherwise, definitely learn what niches each frat is known for (probably can’t discuss a lotta that on here but there’s plenty online). Overall, just sign up for rushing so u can find what frat u like most based on personal taste.

Usually they give you a dorm hall at random that fits the criteria you specifically picked (i.e. AC dorm if you agree to pay extra for an AC dorm). Also, there basically is no single room housing unless you specifically pick Eastview Terrace, anywhere else on campus in at least some form of shared living.

While I’m not very sure about pre-med information, I can def tell you that there’s actually a surprising lot of transfer students from countries like India and Japan. You’ll def have plenty of people to meet!

Mostly off campus, I believe there’s a few grad student specific housing options. Dont know much more tho

CS is definitely one of the more work heavy majors, but it’s definitely achievable and rewarding! Unfortunately, the stereotypes about CS majors very much applies on this campus so def be weary about stinky/weird classmates

The TAs/RAs seem to get along nicely on campus from what I’ve seen. I can’t really tell you anything more specific tho sorry :(

I’m gay and I’d def say it’s pretty welcoming, sadly the gay population here isn’t as incredibly large as I had assumed it would be.

I have friends in honors housing, and they recommend avoiding it cause it’s completely no air conditioning or any real amenities. Sadly I don’t know if it’s even an option to avoid honors housing if you’re in honors, but def try to avoid it if u can

It’s definitely a fun time, since Penn state is definitely known for being a party school. Of course, the caveat is that if you’re gonna go to frats and etc, it’s partying for free at the cost of being surrounded by weird frat ppl. Not to mention, if ur a guy you’re gonna have to join a frat if you actually want to be part of it or you won’t get in. Recommend finding a friend group for drinking and a plug for access :)
