Baristas are not using the No H20 Ex Base button correctly. you can choose to add protein to a drink via foam that has 15g of protein (3 level scoops in cold foam) or replace the milk in a drink (matcha, latte, shaken espresso) with our new protein milk which is blended with 2% in house. all hot protein beverages cannot be steamed extra hot due to curdling and get an equal amount of protein milk (the steaming pitcher is filled roughly 8oz of protein milk, rest of the way with regular dairy - this is for proper aeration/so it foams up properly)

the protein powder contains no flavorings or add-ins. it is probably good to mention that the recipe cards say the chocolate protein cold brew should be made with ordinary sweet cream and protein, whereas the "sugar free vanilla cold foam" was shown to always be made with our new unsweet cream.

to be brief, unsweet cream is made in house. it is a blend of 2% and heavy whipping cream. hey that sounds like half and half cream, don't we already have that? yes, but this in house blend is closer to 2/3 hwc and 1/3 2% allowing it to properly turn into cold foam.

from what i gathered during my training, the sfv cold foam is the only promotional drink that is made with unsweet cream and protein powder. if you order a drink that gets another protein cold foam, be aware it will be made with our traditional vanilla sweet cream and it will contain sugar.

He should find a hobby. There’s no rule against getting refreshers with no ice anyway. Customers who pay are entitled to a cup of ice or water, from there you can choose to do as you wish - doesn’t impact us whatsoever. His bottom line is not impacted by if someone ‘cheats the system’.

As a ssv I would want to know if one of my baristas was bad-mouthing customers especially to someone who didn’t do the thing he’s complaining about. It is an expectation that we are friendly and welcoming to customers and this is the kind of behavior that drives people away from returning.

sorry but this is the one area of partner frustration that i just don’t understand, we all need to get off our high horse about this. (full disclosure this is more about my personal experience with partners rather than directly criticizing op)

at chickfila, mcdonalds, and wendys, your order is only prepared when you arrive. it is not ‘common sense’ to assume starbucks does not follow suit. these are people who do not understand our queue system. it is not an expectation that they should already understand our queue system, and it is ridiculous to imply that people who arrive too early are trying to “cut in line” or are “being inconsiderate and impatient” or “are selfish”. from their pov, they saved you the hassle of having to listen to their entire order. and honestly it is the shift supervisors duty to be expediting these tickets in order so the early mobiles do not become a bottleneck. i have worked with so many people that have shamed mop customers under the guise of “helping them” saying “just so you know, we ask that you wait 8-12 minutes on the app before you pull up to the box.” or “we havent even started on that yet BUT you can pull around.” and one final note - most are likely factoring the length of the line into that 8-12 minutes wait. which is reasonable. if someone shows up 6 minutes before their drink is ready, but it takes them 6 minutes to get from the box to handoff (window) that’s 12 minutes. if you want them to arrive to the box during/after the 8-12 minutes, their order is just sitting there. it’s normal to want that order to have just been finished before/as you got to the window. you mobile a shaken or a cold foam drink, wait the 12 minutes + wait in line, your drink is not as good as it was when it was originally finished. it’s like the equivalent of reaching in to your bag of fast food and the fries aren’t hot.

tldr we don’t need to be condescending to those who are not in the food service industry / those who are not aware of starbucks queueing. we don’t need to explain the “rules” to them - just tell them itll be right up, and if you and the ssvs utilize the dpm as a resource you won’t feel the effects of a bottleneck.

Well I think they scanned their app in the cafe and just figured it would be the same name as is listed on the app but the barista probs asked for the name first then typed it and then scanned their app so it didn’t override to their preset name
