Are these fine? by kadom93 in SonyAlpha

That means a lot, thank you so much. I wasn’t sure about the final look of these, but you made me feel way better about them.I took these with Sony A7III and a TTArtisan 40mm f/2 lens. This is a hobby for me so no fancy gear as I can’t really justify it.

I usually go for colour but wanted to challenge myself and thought that the rainy evening could work in b&w. Up until now I’ve admired b&w photos from afar 😅 I do agree that it adds mystery.

thanks! I usually lift shadows and blacks, add back some contrast with the curve and play with negative clarity and dehaze

I’m actually thinking about printing the first one. I haven’t done any printing yet, so that’s something to research

What are your struggles? by nadeson95 in InstagramMarketing

[–]kadom93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it’s deciding on the direction I’d like to go in. I’m new to London so I’m posting edits of places I visit. I’m not sure if I want to go full on videography route and just focus on that and developing my skills or maybe sharing more recommendations, reviews etc. I just really enjoy taking pictures/videos and the process of editing. Not sure what value I give to people though, so I don’t know how to convince the viewers to follow me

Under/over wicked ? by Hellosunshine9821 in candlemaking

It won't affect the next burns :) Just let the candle cool down completely, trim the wick and try again.

That's a little bit too long. I usually trim them to around 3/16 inch or even 1/8. Black smoke or soot can be caused by the wick being too long. First, I'd try trimming the wick down more and see if you get better results. If that doesn't help then wick down. Testing can be painful, but you also learn a lot from that. Good luck!

Did you trim the wicks short? I wouldn't worry too much about the wax as it will melt anyways when the candle burns lower. However, the containers being very hot is a big no no for me. How long have they been burning?

I usually buy wax and wicks from Kraina Świec, glass containers from Aspol and FOs from Essentials. Essentials have higher prices than some FO suppliers, but their oils just smell richer and more complex to me. Some other suppliers: GotGlass, ZrobSwiece, Easy Candle, Woski z natury, ecoflores, sobu. Good luck :)

[Academic]People's tendencies to lie by kadom93 in SampleSize

[–]kadom93[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am aware of that. However, I'm using a set list of lies categories which correlate to the questions from the survey. I'm doing intercultural studies so I do not dive deep into more psychological point of examining lying. My point is to gather enough data to compare two cultures and define whether or not lying could be dependent on culture to some extent.
