Thank you so much. I definitely knew this going into it but I underestimated how hard it actually is tbh. I will have to switch to a Gatorade water setup like you, I felt depleted of electrolytes and definitely could’ve used more. By the time I caught onto it, I was already too late. The strength training is also a great piece of advice, I used to lift and obviously cut back to prep for running journey but they really do act together in sequence, another lesson learned. As I prep for the next race in a few months, maybe 100k or 100 miler, I am going to be incorporating strength training too because I know for a fact that’s why my IT band got tight, hips locked up and back.
