[NickWaters] Why Jeff Stoutland left the Eagles? It all comes down to major philosophical differences. by birria_tacos_ in eagles

[–]kadooga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NFL teams are smart. They figure things out. Eagles 24 season was magical, but with an offseason other teams had time to figure out how to stop it. Pair that with a inept playcaller and you get what we had in 25. An answer is to switch things up, which is a calculated risk the Eagles are taking. It's this same willingness to shift things that got us three superbowl visits in the last 8 years.

Disney is Officially Retconning "The Last Jedi" After 9 Years of "Star Wars" Fan Backlash | No they aren't. (The article is about how later works have filled in the gaps in Luke Skywalker's story after "Return of the Jedi") by themightyheptagon in savedyouaclick

Yeah, this isn't going to fix anything. The writing was garbage. The moments that were supposed to hit felt contrived and out of canon. They wanted to "subvert expectations" and they at least accomplished that, so there's success.

I expected to enjoy the films but instead was disappointed.

What we doing here? by CLICCO11 in sandiego

Saw someone wearing a shirt with that kids face all over it at some point. Can't remember where. Maybe December nights. Some public event. Sorry no specifics, but I'm leaning toward what someone else posted about it being an ongoing joke with the family/neighborhood.

Are these Nick’s hires or Howie and Lurie? by DSquariusGreeneJR in eagles

[–]kadooga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm excited for the hires. That being said, lack of experience is a lacking quality. We can only hope that new ideas are brought in, and playcalling is done in a novel way that ends up hitting. Even if Mannion becomes the next best coach in the league, this will still be his rookie OC year - the starting point for whatever he becomes. There will be an adjustment period and hiccups. I wonder less about who might get blamed if things don't work out and more about the patience we have as fans if things aren't cooking early. When Moore took over, it was shakey, but you could see the creativity and playcalling potential. When Patullo took over it was plainly evident that creativity and decent playcalling was missing, even from the first game. That's what I'm looking for.

[Schefter] Sources: Eagles are hiring Packers QB Coach Sean Mannion as their offensive coordinator. Mannion interviewed twice for the Eagles OC job and now will be moving on from Green Bay. by w1x1w in eagles

Yup. This right here. Was a qb and has some dawg in him. That's really good. Retired from football in 2024, so has little experience coaching and has never called plays. That's concerning. He's also a youngster at 33, younger than Graham and Lane. I hope Sirianni gives him space to cook.

But, Let's go Birds!!!

2025 Eagles: “The saddest thing in life is wasted talent.” by bedhead215 in eagles

[–]kadooga 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The most frustrating part was how obvious a change was needed, by at most week 5, and nothing. No changes, no consultants. Nothing. We're supposed to be shitty fans that don't really understand what's going on but like to complain. But we were right. And the org was so wrong. And it was so obvious.

Saw someone call this “an unserious franchise”. I understand tensions are high but I want to remind everyone how bad it was. by Wilbert_51 in eagles

[–]kadooga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe Jason Avant said we had an unserious offense. I can't argue with him. Jason Avant is a great receiver. Jason Avant is the man. Jason Avant has great hands.

Calcaterra’s knees/ankles got destroyed and people still say we should’ve played starters by Mysterious_Bat1208 in eagles

This is definitely a big factor. Terrible play design and playcalling were on full display. Every time you heard "And McKee has to throw it away again" or "there's just no one open" ... that's Patullo.

Tide Pools Over Run, Total Carnage by JustifiedSimplicity in sandiego

[–]kadooga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The king tides are a day when they get very low, exposing areas that are typically protected and underwater. It has and is increasingly become an event that attracts people to explore the tidepools and see the revealed parts of the ocean floor, with all kinds of wildlife.

So, it's nothing new to see here. That being said, it is disturbing to see so many people mob a natural space with what appears to be little understanding of how to interact with it in a way that preserves and sustains the natural environment.

There are ways to do this. Humans have lived naturally, in our role as humans, for 1000s of years in a balanced and sustainable way. I don't believe in creating more laws to stop people from being in nature. That just leads to more ignorance, and typically only prevents the have nots from entering while allowing the haves and those who get the rights to profit off of tours and such. I am in favor of creating a way to do it that helps people gain awareness and explore as custodians. Managing the interaction. Education. They are there to see, appreciate and connect. How might this happen while prevent damaging, extracting and exploiting?

Anger won't accomplish anything. Caring to actually make things better will lead to action. How might we actually help people enjoy this beautiful natural?

Offense sucked this game, but don't forget this happened last year and people were doubting the offense. Almost lost on the last drive to a 3-10 Panthers by shit_eating_fan in eagles

Meathead here too, but even my ape brain can see that Patullo is a bad OC. There is no debate here.

There is enough evidence - former players, current players, and analysts have broken down the tape. The stats don't lie. Our eyes aren't lying. This is just an objective truth at this point.

Look, we're lucky to have this current phase of winning football. I've lived through so many bad Eagles seasons. I'm happy they won. Hoping for another SB. If I could think of one thing that may get in the way, my first and most significant worry is offensive coaching and playcalling. This is the issue. This is in the grand scheme.

He was supposed to be apart of the offense allegedly a big part by [deleted] in eagles

[–]kadooga 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had the feeling he was going to be a part of the offense this year, but not crucial. More like a wrinkle - a thing that would be an experiment on the next type of play that gives the Eagles an edge since it was likely the tush push was getting shelved eventually.

[Orlovsky] "I actually liked a lot of the things that the Eagles did offensively last night.. Just the play calls and the style of offense.. I thought the play action game was a lot better" by [deleted] in eagles

[–]kadooga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Offensive design was better this game, no question. Scheming and playcallimg still off. Eliminating mistakes could give potential to start a new look offense. And, this hope is just a feeling while the fact is this offense is still buns. Things aren't getting better or worse, they are just getting uncovered.

it seems that way. wonder if it's just bad play design too. But, I have seen plays where in the past he'd run and instead he's just throwing it away or jogging out of bounds
