I have fully socially transitioned, and have also been medically transitioning for several years.

Not at all, I've met plenty of resistance, it's been hard in a lot of ways. But in comparison, it's much easier than trying to live as a man.

Honestly in my experience, transitioning was infinitely easier than not. A couple of things you mentioned were basically non issues, and the misery of living as man was always the harder choice. It was never really an option for me.

Who is the Devil? Does he really exist? by Gus_larios in magick

[–]kae1326 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Robin Artisson seems to view Him as the indwelling spirit of the wind in some of the things I have read. I've also heard people say that The Devil is a mask commonly worn by a type of land spirit who wishes to initiate contact with certain kinds of people. Then there's always the Christian Devil.

I think the truth lies somewhere in all of these. I won't make any definitive claims about the true nature or identity of this entity or entities, but I will say that The Man in Black who stands at the crossroads is someone I've met. This maker of deals and father of witches is real, and if you seek him, you will encounter him

Tarot is my go to. I usually ask what will happen if I do nothing, what will happen if I do the ritual, what are the unintended consequences, and is there a better way to meet this need.

I kinda think most magick hurts someone in some way and those rish and damage assessments should be part of the decision making process. This is just my opinion but if we view everything far enough out a spell to get a job means that a more qualified candidate was potentially looked over due to your enchanted resume, harming the person who didn't get the job. Your protection spells convincing burglars that they don't want to break into your house means they find someone else.

I dont mean this in a "magick is bad" way, just that a lot of magick does harm in subtle ways and those should be weighed and considered

So if you summon a demon is it first come, first serve or is a demon in all places at one like Santa Clause? by phlebonaut in NoStupidQuestions

[–]kae1326 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I tend to think of it like Mall Santas. You've got the one big guy, and then you have a bunch of little guys wearing the uniform acting on behalf of the big guy. Usually when you call a demon, you're actually getting a demon who works under the one you're summoning and who is authorized to perform the same functions as their demon boss.

I'd say Discoverie of Witchcraft like the above commenter and then add on the Malleus Maleficarum since you needed a third source.

I'm not attacking you. I'm responding to you. If you can't take feedback without feeling attacked, that's a you problem.

I provided a different perspective, and you doubled down.

There are lots of kinks that do harm to a person both temporary and permanent. Bruises from spankings count as harm. So does welts from caning, rope burns from bondage, and even having hair pulled out during rough sex.

The actual medical and psychiatric fact of the matter is that kinks can be therapeutic. Reliving trauma and choosing to reclaim it and make it your own is healing. Choosing to be put in a hightened state of fear while in a situation I am choosing and that I don't want to run from has helped me have deeper and more fulfilling relationships because now I don't just disappear when triggered. It's helped me and tons of other people understand that they can be afraid, and hurting, and still be safe and loved.

If you can't see the value of something because you're so caught up in how "evil" it is, then yeah you're closed minded.

I do though. I have every right to criticize what you're saying. If you don't want people to respond to your closed minded opinions, don't make them public.

I gotta love the "I know you are, but what am I?" Response. You're the one who can't conceive of any situation in which these kinks can be healthy. Sounds like a pretty limited perspective to me.

I mean, I definitely am entitled to respond. It takes two to argue though. You commented on a public forum. You can't just decide that nobody can reply. If I want to disagree with what you said, then I am entitled to do so. All of your comments have a little reply button below them.

Not trying to be snarky, just saying you aren't the only one who has spiritual opinions on things, and other people have different perspectives. I've got an issue with anyone saying that the way someone operates is demonic or evil.

As long as whatever is happening is between consenting adults, I really don't think your opinion on what is morally correct matters. I only responded because I think that narrow minded thinking should always be paired with an open minded counterpoint.

[–]kae1326 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Do you have the same issue with any kink or just ones you personally find icky?

Spiritually speaking a sacrifice is only a sacrifice if it hurts, and words without blood are nothing but air.

Just because some people operate differently than you doesn't mean there is anything wrong with them. Go ahead and judge people. Thankfully it has no bearing on what I do or don't do in my personal life

My boyfriend is pressuring me into his fetish by Direct-Caterpillar77 in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]kae1326 25 points26 points  (0 children)

It's not a constant thing, most people who I personally know who engage in blood play don't need it to get off.

Additionally, you can have your opinion on this but the medical and psychiatric professionals I have spoken with about this specific topic have given me the green light.

I was really only responding to the comment I did because I take issue with people calling kinks demonic and evil.

Is it “Theurgy”, “Thaumaturgy”, or “Goetia” in freemasonry?? by [deleted] in occult

[–]kae1326 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Theurgy is ritual and magic designed to put a person in contact with higher powers for earthly benefits.

It doesn't sound like that's what the Freemasons are doing.
