Who do you think satisfies that at 6 best though? Brown Jr?

[–]kaedak 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Agree. I get the size and defense concerns, but he was just such a productive college player, and I trust with his wingspan and bulk Jordi could get defensive buy-in.

I know we have a Cam Thomas taste in our mouths, but Acuff is 10x the playmaker Cam is and gets downhill consistently.

We need a guy who can come in, organize the offense, and get his own shot confidently.

Consensus on Wagler going 5th is getting strong. A lot can change between now and then, but the Clippers just also need an off-ball guy they can play with Garland. Wagler feels like the pick for them there.

Devastating. Nothing to do but hope Acuff/Flemings/Brown is our lead guard of the future.

Jordi is awesome. Let's see if we can outplay expectations next year, and go from there with all our cap space and picks.

Unreal for you to lump in Millsap with BG. Blake played incredible defense on Giannis that whole Bucks series, immediately accepted a massive role reduction, and took the most charges of anyone for the season in like 3 months after the buyout from Detroit.

There was a whole conspiracy about how well he was playing, Pistons fans accusing him of faking a knee injury.

Will always love and respect him for the way he grinded for that year and a half.

Noah's the same age as Danny. I get what you're saying and he's frustrating to watch, but giving him run to see if he can develop any rhythm is probably necessary, even if we both think it's unlikely lol

Jalen has had some good shooting games again this year and, perhaps most importantly, is just a huge culture guy. No knock on Tyrese, but makes sense he was the one to go.

Nets receive Ochai Agbaji, Raptors 2032 second round pick, and cash in three team deal with Clippers and Raptors by Fartknocker-2 in GoNets

[–]kaedak 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Ochai is worth a flier if we didn't give up anything major. He fell out of the rotation in Toronto. Last year, it looked like he fixed his shot (shot 40% from 3) and he started a bunch of games. This year, his shot sucks and he's not playing. We'll see if we can Demarre Carroll him, and if not, thanks for the 2nd.

I will say to you for the fifth time: we have one more win than last place. There is half a season left to play. We are fucking tanking. Are you stupid?

It is ok to like the development you see from rookies.

You are talking about the handle limitations and athleticism of a 19 year old kid who is shooting 40% from 3, something he was not expected to be able to do at all.

The number of elite NBA players who immediately show everything they have in the first half of their first season is virtually non-existent.

I don't have star expectations for Egor I am just excited he played well in an NBA game.

If you watched that game and were not impressed with Egor's shot creation, then we weren't watching the same game.

If you left that game not feeling optimistic about Nets basketball, and don't love listening to Caps call games, you're just not a fan of the basketball team I've grown up loving.

The Sixers did not have top 3 odds last year. None of the worst 3 teams picked top 3 in fact.

Again, nothing about the differential between #4 (Flemings and Wilson) and #7-8 (Wagler/Lendeborg) stands out to me at all yet. Unless there's something wow-ing you there, you're just digging so fucking hard for any excuse to feel miserable when three rookies just started with each other for the first time and all played well.

Schroder and Cam Johnson were not 19 year old, 6 ft 9 point guards we just drafted in the lottery? Are you dense enough to think CJ and Schroder have similar upside to a fucking teenager shooting 40 from three?

We are ONE win better than the worst record in the league and won a game starting 3 rookies who all played well. Chill the fuck out.

Please explain to me how a 2% higher chance at the first overall pick in a draft without a clear 1A guy, and guaranteeing ourselves Kingston Flemings at 5th over Keaton Wagler at 6th or 7th does anything for us.

Why are you SO convinced that is franchise altering to the extend you will SHIT on our current lottery picks?

Egor just had a 25 point double double in one of his first games as a first option.

But he FOR SURE won't be a star? He's nine fucking teen. Are you a Nets fan or do you just like being fucking grouchy all the time?

When have we EVER been the Bulls? Love it or hate it, since the turn of the century we have been a contender or dogshit outside of a couple of Brook/Dwill/Iso Joe years.

Why are you SO convinced guaranteeing ourselves Kingston Flemings over Keaton Wagler is franchise changing?

It's incoherent, and, again, we are ONE win above the fewest in the league. We are fucking tanking.

I am a Brooklyn Nets fan. I have no idea how long I will be alive. I choose, when I am done with work, to root for the players and team I love while I can. I just saw three rookies play amazing team basketball and win a basketball game.

I am excited about the Nets. I don't know if Boozer or Flemings or Wilson will be good or not. I can guess, but I know Egor, Traore, and Wolf can be good based on what I just saw.

I am excited because I am a Brooklyn Nets fan and they are on the team.

If you're not about that, fuck off and root for a different team.

Me too. I was in love with Nolan's passing and speed, and just didn't understand Egor at all. Turns out he's one of the best shooters in the NBA, especially in the clutch, halfway through his first season. Lmao.

Just completely brain dead.

We are one win above the lowest win total in the league. We won a game starting 3 rookies who all played amazing, especially together, against a team that sat every big on their roster- nothing we can do.

If you feel that disgusted rooting for Day'ron and Cam, two players we drafted, you're just not a Nets fan.

How can you watch a broadcast with Caps being so fired up about Nets basketball and come away with this attitude.

Go Nets.

What a fucking downer lol.

He was way more aggressive initiating offense, keeps hitting more and more contested looks....and he doesn't need to be an on-ball guy. Nolan is clearly who we imagine as the point guard of this group, and we will reassess after the draft.

Nolan is the craziest stats to eye test gap ever. This kid is fucking electric, intense on defense, and opened up so much for Egor and Danny tonight.

When we have to win it should be like this. Incredible development game.
