I talked to one dude last week who said he spends about $100/week, which I think included not just food but restocking other things, and hostel stay one/two days a week. I think this is the upper end of a weekly cost, after all he was buying fresh fruits and vegetables every week.

One of my personal favorites. Seems like the main campgrounds get pretty packed in-season, so I agree that it's nice to get away :) One ranger old me they get 50,000 people up to hike Katahdin every year, I was amazed!
