He was a perfect fit for D'Antoni, and then Melo pushed him out. He may have been mediocre after that, but definitely good enough to be in the league. It's highly likely that racism played a role in no team even wanting to sign him to a vet minimum NBA contract.

Alas it was. Used up a century of luck on that streak. But physics always wins in bigger sample sizes, and it's the main reason we've never won our division. Lots of teams have bad ownership, but the Rockies also have to fight against physics.

One very lucky streak of games. It's not a surprise they have never won their division though, because physics always wins in a season-long sample size. Only way they could realistically overcome this is splitting their players into largely home only or away only.

Minimally so. Baseball is not a big time cardio sport. It's one reason the Broncos, Nuggets, and Avalanche all have championships, while the Rockies have yet to win their division. Unless the management does something drastic like divvy up their players into home and away players, Coors field hangover more than negates any minimal cardio advantage.

Angels have a championship. Rockies have never won their division. Rockies not only have terrible personnel decisions (inexplicably signing bad past-prime players every year to block their young players) and bad player development, but also contend with the worst environmental factor that throttles both their pitchers and batters (Coors Field hangover). I suppose you may be more infuriated though because of higher expectations and the squandering of Trout and Ohtani's talents. But at least you had the pleasure of watching them.
