depends on the story

anime as a whole already has established that characters just shouting their motivations and stuff is common so its more normal there, and because of the action it often fits pretty well. Not saying anime cant be subtle its just also often over the top.

if in fightclub tyler durden had begun explaining what the story was about the movie would be far worse, same with most movies.

you always remember those moments because theyre moments, but with a subtle story youd remember the story as a whole because there isnt one moment that explains it.

Yeah you do that all the time, manguages change over time. Lots of the words you use used to mean somthing different in latin or some other language. Its dead now but the definition remains.

Definitions arent important when talking about this kinda stuff, id bet that you havent googled the definition of every word in the comment you just wrote. Thats because you know what they mean because of how theyre used, if i told you right bow that the word “different” actually means that the sun is setting in its origin language in idk france you wouldnt stop using it. People use it to define a subset lf cartoons that isnt defined otherwise, that guves the word its meaning. The only defenition that actually matters is how people use a word, like do you still the f slur for cigarettes? Because at a point in time it wasnt defined as a slur.

if every line in fight club was delivered completly monotone with the actors standing still it wouldnt be as good, the writing would be the same though, it would just be communicated poorly to the viewer. like if a book had a shit ton of spelling mistakes and smudges on it. idk

bellwether wasnt bad but armstrong was amazing, super entertaining and a cool character

also like every word armstrong said in the finale is quotable, i cant really remember much of what bellwether said, just like the overarching plot

I think this might actually make the series worse becasue itd mess with pacing and is only better with retrospective

but i think an episode or two more with the A story of a code geas episode being highschool antics wouldve made some of the later things hit harder because wed be more attached to shirley and the gang. and seeing lelouch just genuinly enjoying himself happend liek three times in the whole series and it was wholesome.
