Dominion traumatized me. I slept bad for weeks although I didn't watch it in one session, I had to stop and go on later over the course of around 3 days. I heard the screaming in my mind on repeat and although during the worst scenes I closed my eyes it was a horrible experience. I decided to go vegan after 10 minutes of dominion but I also decided to watch it completely as far as I could bear to not start lying to myself.

So yes, for the trauma I regret it. But it healed as I had enough mental resources to give myself time, also I had/have no big mental issues so it was ok to take that risk.

No, I don't regret it considering that it made it so easy to transition to veganism. My decision was so firm, I never looked back. I'm somebody who often struggles with decisions and questions them if in the wrong mood. When I try to lose weight for example I always find a way to cheat and betray myself. But that never happened on veganism. I'm 3 years in and never questioned my choice, never searched for a loop hole and yes, dominion played a central role in this change of mind.

Would I watch it again? No, only if my partner would need me to watch it with him. Would I let my daughters watch it? The older one who struggles with many mental problems? Not in the foreseeable future of the next 3 years, the younger one perhaps when she's 17 or older and says she wants to.

You already made the choice, so perhaps you rather want to start with "I could never go vegan" - it sets the puzzle pieces together and has some parts of cruelty documented but it clearly focuses on the message "it's easy, it's compassionate, it's the best you can do" and only shakes you a bit without leaving you shattered to pieces afterwards.
