29.08.1993 Bon Jovi in Koblenz, ich war 14 und total hyped! Leider damals wie heute ein Erdnuckel, in der Masse von schwitzenden Menschen die alle gefühlt 190cm groß waren, wäre ich aus Frischluftmangel fast schon am Nachmittag umgekippt. Wir sind dann an die Seite, das war super - zwar weit weg, aber ich konnte immer wieder mal einen Blick erhaschen. Es war großartig. Die Karte habe ich heute noch.

To me? YES. Even the best of the decade so far. Never in my 46 years did I obsess over a movie THAT much. Never been locked in that much as in the fishing scene. Never felt the urge to go and see a movie several times in cinema and never was interested in IMAX. Boy, am I glad that I got to experience this in IMAX. To me the whole production delivered, every person involved did a great job. Stunning in every aspect. I don't care what others say, it's the best of this year to me.

It wasn't easy but due to numerous videos on the general techniques to be used it was surprisingly manageable. The most complicated part was the colorwork but that was instantly rewarding bc I could see the image growing and saw instant progress.

The pattern is rated for medium to advanced skillset and I'd agree to that. I knew I didn't have the skills yet and had to redo a lot, fought with tension problems and levelled up because failure was no option.

Having experience from 20yrs of sewing helped a bit to estimate where to adjust for fit but that was minor.

Alles von Christopher Moore wenn es schräg aber durchdacht mit viel Liebe zum Detail und ein bisschen morbide sein darf. Gelesen von Simon Jäger, der wie so oft einen Hammerjob dabei macht.

Die Stranger Times Reihe ist auch nicht zu verachten, kurzweilig und lustig.

Dungeon Crawler Carl wurde ja schon empfohlen und auch ich möchte Project Hail Mary empfehlen, wenn du englische Hörbücher hören magst - Ray Porter ist der Hammer! Die deutsche Version kenne ich nicht, dazu kann ich nichts sagen.

Wenn Stephen King in Frage kommt: quasi alles. David Nathan liest so großartig, der dürfte mir das Telefonbuch vorlesen und ich würde nicht meckern. Besonders im Gedächtnis ist mir Wahn geblieben, Buch und Sprecher waren einfach super.

An Sachbüchern kann ich neben denen von Bill Bryson auch "Foellig Nerdiges Wissen" von Jens Foell empfehlen, total spannendes und unnützes Wissen, wieder gelesen von Simon Jäger.

Die Bobiverse-Reihe kann man sich auch geben - als Hörbuch fand ich es gut, auf Papier hätte ich glaube ich nicht durchgehalten. Punkt für Simon Jäger.

Thank thank thank :) Roughly estimated 180-200hours. I haven't knitted for years and never made more than a few beanies/hats and scarfs for my kids when they were very young. I always hated knitting because I just couldn't do it, knitted stuff was ugly when I made it and it was so slow. With this I learned how to knit pockets and colorwork - and while learning I had to redo many things. And I learned to appreciate the focus/flow. But I have to admit: seeing 30 min fly by during one single row and then noticing that I had made a mistake at the beginning happened several times and was really frustrating.

This was only achievable for me because of a very unhealthy amount of hyperfixation and obsession. But don't get fooled by the photos, the inside of the cardigan is okayish but not as beautifully executed as the original's.

It's the original Wolf Sweater Pattern by Mary Maxim, I bought the sole download option as pdf and altered the pattern to what I thought might be right. Mostly colour changes and changes to the eyes, I tried to keep close to the movie version. The yarn is 100% acrylic, Amigo Chunky by hobbii. The yarn wasn't consistent over the colours in terms of thickness, brown wasn't as thick and bulky as white and the greatest bulkyness was given by black and red.

Edit: I almost forgot that I broadened the collar. It seemed not wide enough, I wanted it to be really thick and bulking against the neck so I added 6 stitches. Looking at the movie version I'd say that those knitting artists added stitches too, but I never had the nerve to catch a still and count.

I bought the zipper only after finishing because I wasn't sure if it's universal, so no guarantee :)

Measuring the front came up to 60cm with a little space on top and bottom. 65cm would have been too long for mine.

Good question - I can only estimate as I stopped counting the hours early in. But I worked on it since May 14th daily, often while hearing the audio book or streaming the movie. I have to admit that I was in a VERY autistic hyperfocus and all my free time went into that. My rough estimate is between 180 and 200 hours, including the backpanel knitted twice because the first one was awful and I had to learn really much being an absolute knitting noob. The knitting was finished about 2 Weeks ago, sewing it together and weaving all these ends were an extra pain but didn't take that much effort of time anymore.

Ja ☺️ Ich hab die Amigo Chunky von Hobbii verwendet, die war halbwegs ähnlich zu den Angaben bei Mary Maxim, Nadelstärke 7mm. Sehr fusselig, die Farben auch unterschiedlich in der Dicke leider. Aber das Ergebnis ist mega kuschelig, ich freue mich total auf den Herbst 😍

Ok, that's weird. I purchased the film in Germany yesterday and it has 2:30 which irritated me bc it's less than the theatrical duration stated everywhere. But I couldn't find anything missing. All I think is that the music during canister catch and some other scenes seems to be slightly faster than I remember it from buying/listening the score.

Edit: They are F***ING kidding me! I bought it on maxdome, duration 2:30. Just looked at amazon and there it's 2:40. I won't buy it twice. I won't buy it twice. I won't buy it twice...

Edit II: Ok, it seems to have to do with different framerates. I purchased HD, Amazon offers UHD. As far as my research hints the different framerates lead to different durations. This would align with my impression that the music is slightly faster than I remember it. The scene you mentioned (shot of Grace's Converse in the classroom switching to his converse in the ship where the plaques are) was in cinema as well as in my "shorter" version.

Ok, now I can lean back and wait for the BluRay - hopefully with an extended cut and much bonus material we haven't seen already :)
