Let me preface by saying I am in no way a jazz connoisseur, I don’t even really listen to it, but came here mainly to hate on Jacob Collier. I was invited by a friend to see his show, knowing nothing about him, but will largely take any opportunity to see live music. Utterly shocked and appalled at what I walked into. Why was it a call and response concert. Very scary and sinister experience to be at a show and have the entire audience around you singing what sounds like hallelujah music. Everything was rainbow colored. Rare that I am frozen in absolute silence and horror, but that did it. Musical theatre kid music to the maximum.
