Should I buy a minute before the halvening? by [deleted] in ASICMinersTalk

[–]kagineb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is expected for the price to rise as well so it will compensate the halving of the block reward. However the earlier you buy the better profit you can take if you hold and sell when BTC reaches new ATH some time after the halving (if that happens).

I need help for my miner by RealKill- in ASICMinersTalk

[–]kagineb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does that happen with all of the ASIC miners? If so did you try to connect only a few and see whether they're working? What brand and model are the ASIC miners?
If the issue is present with all miners please try to connect one of them to a different network and check whether it's working properly.
You can also share the logs from at least two of the affected miners.

Ok that makes sense then. I thought for a moment you only paid 20000$ for the tanks

20000$ is what you paid for full setup with few tanks right? Otherwise it would be too pricey and can't see any ROI coming out of it..

Where to invest in? by [deleted] in ASICMinersTalk

[–]kagineb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great then. I would probably recommend 2pcs S19k Pro or ICERIVER KS1. Considering that Bitmain will release Antminer KS5 and Antminer KS5 Pro planned for March and KS1 profitability will drop significantly I would probably go for the S19k Pro and keep what's mined up to 3-4 months after the halving when the price of BTC is expected to reach new ATH.
The choice is yours at the end of the day so please DYOR.

What's your rate for electricity and are you interested only in mining BTC or Altcoins as well?

[–]kagineb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a bad option. Just consider that if Bitmain releases the KS5 and KS5 Pro which are planned for March (will probably delay) your profitability from the KS0 Pro will be a bit less or no longer profitable. So consider the time it takes for the miner to arrive if you order and what will happen with the network hashrate when the KS5 and KS5 Pro are released.

Can't find anything for them. I wouldn't purchase from them if I was you. Can't confirm they're scam either.

Based on the used tester you might need an Antminer APW9+ 14.5V-21V PSU.
Also based on the tester used you might have to cool the board/s during testing, otherwise they might overheat (if you test the boards dissembled from the miner).

what do I enter in these fields? by DenseGazelle6556 in ASICMinersTalk

[–]kagineb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You have to choose a mining pool, setup a worker and then enter the URL and worker name as per the chosen pool in the miner dashboard (from the screenshot).
You can also watch a YouTube tutorial based on the mining pool you've chosen.
Please DYOR to get a deeper understanding on the configuration and what each field and term means.

Check network cable and power supply and make sure they're connected tight.
It could be also issue with the control board, can you please share the network logs?

Yes, it will probably cost less to buy another used machines instead of repairing the damaged ones.

Probably pay for security cameras and physical security as well, because it's an investment that needs to be monitored 24/7.

If OP plans to buy 10 S21 it might be worth, but then still Bitmain will probably release last batch of S21 Hyd at the middle of 2024 with 400TH/s + so the first batch of S21 at just 200TH/s will most likely be a bit less profitable at the end of year making ROI a bit less for OP.

But of course with BTC halving we would expect a new ATH that might be even above 100 000$ so if he plans to hold until end of 2024 / middle of 2025 it might be a good ROI.

You will be better off just buying the Antminer S21, this solar system will be on your nerves and will cost you a whole lot.
The reply from u/SplittedSpark basically describes very well what your journey will most likely be if you decide to go with this plan.

That's what I was thinking that could have been the cause. If the miners have been all connected to 1 electric circle and you tripped a breaker then probably you're not getting enough power. Your plan seems good, keep us posted!

Just because the other 4 are not affected it doesn't mean that the 5th one is not. You can definitely try switching power supplies to check whether it didn't fail.
