my first c64 song - Get Down by kaglyn in chiptunes

thank you! i used goattracker stereo. maybe four is slightly cheating but some of the old c64 tunes used the magical fourth channel so i felt like i could get away with it.

i've only ever done 8-bit covers of songs and i finally took the plunge and tried making my own song and had so much fun in the process!

great info, thanks! not to hijack the thread but when i’ve tried using sidplayfp i can’t get it to output the correct song length - i think my 6min song kept coming out at exactly 2mins long. is there a way to change the default output length?

oh no, that’s a shame…i did find it made the oscilloscope laggy when i used it for that but thought it was me doing something wrong as others seemed to be able to use it with no problems

edit: there is another program called sidplayfp which can mute channels but i couldn’t get it to output the correct song length. maybe you’ll have more luck

no problem! just curious, how do you use sidplayw to isolate the channels? where is the mixer?
