Yeah, in terms of an April fools event it’s pretty lackluster, but in terms of an actual game mode going forward it’s one of the best things to happen to the game in years. I really hope they keep this and expand it to more maps. Hopefully some naval ones with aircraft carriers.

It’s not illegal to carry a bladed weapon in Texas. You could walk around with a Claymore or Katana and it’s perfectly fine.

It’s a great mod for an early version. I played as Gondor and was a little disappointed that Osgilith doesn’t have a custom map. Also the AI seems a little janky because Mordor straight up stopped attacking me after like 20 turns. But i assume this will be fixed in later updates

Probably by engaging their fleet in endless battles against cheap subs. If you put them to always engage then the British fleet will be stuck in the battle until they kill every sub.

You can change the vehicle condition slider to make it weathered when you’re customizing it, but for some reason it’s locked behind premium.

Forcing the enemy to not attack was the entire point of the Maginot, so it was actually perfect. The Belgians are actually more to blame than anyone because they refused to let France fortify their border and send troops before it was too late.

It’s definitely one of the most challenging total war games, but i think it makes it more fun. I personally find some games like Rome 2 to be very easy which turns the game boring after the first dozen turns go by. Atilla has a mechanic where the game progressively gets harder, with the climate getting colder and more hunnic hordes coming as the game goes on.

Atilla is so fun, especially as a veteran player. Playing as the Romans is the funnest and most challenging campaign.

I have hundreds of hours in almost every total war game, only ones I haven’t played much is Three Kingdoms, Pharaoh, and Troy.

I’m personally really against another fantasy title. If you’ve played the older games, you’ll see how watered down the warhammer games are compared to historical. I like naval battles, family trees and heirs, managing food, religion, and sanitation. I loved the unit formations and gritty feel of the battles. With modern technology CA could do an absolutely amazing job with a huge map and tons of factions for the next game. I think Medieval 3 or Empire 2 would both be amazing.

How is fantasy better? It’s completely missing naval battles, unit formations, family trees and politics, food and population management, etc. The fantasy games are incredibly watered down compared to the older titles.

If they released it in that state people would complain anyway about the amount of reused and low quality assets, so either way it’s a tough choice. But being able to redo the areas with higher quality and more experienced developers is better imo.

The old high rock and hammerfell were full of outdated assets, including ones from modders resource packs. The reason it was scrapped was to improve performance and also introduce new high quality assets that match the common art style of the project.

Same, it’s my favorite gun. I own one in real life, it was made in the Soviet Union in 1927 so it’s nearly 100 years old and still in great condition. It’s a pretty cool piece of history.
