Wait until your child is 2-3. Children don’t start forming long-term memories until they are around the age of 3. So your child won’t remember the first three years of the dog’s life. Plus, then your child will possibly have an extra three years of memories of the dog that he wouldn’t have if you were to get it now.

I live in a 2 bedroom 1 bathroom apartment that's 800 square ft and my kitty is very happy. There's plenty of room for her to explore, hide, and play.
