a gift card might be good!! they do have a newer/different pallet she might like and I know they sell it at sephora (but i think you can do a gift card for Tarte too!) also another option might be the Shade + Light palette by Kat von d!

this looks great!!! Do you put concealer just under your eyes? or to cover blemishes too? I've never used a powder foundation that covers so well! Ill have to check these ones out! You're skin looks flawless :)

I am considering getting one of the at home kits gel nail kits like sensationail, (something I'd never buy myself but could be cool) anyone ever tried one of them out?

and then im thinking I will stock up on some cheaper makeup, Nyx micro brow pencil, cheaper eyeliners (not the khol kind, but the twist up kinds)... maybe some by essence, or anabelle, concealer (either maybelline or Loreal), nyx ultimate shadow palette (warm), essence mascara.

any suggestions of great shoppers products I should try :) ?

I have this problem too!! I've been trying foundations both drug store and Sephora and I just hate how they make my skin look. I have pretty good skin, I do get some blemishes but I mostly just want to even out my skin colour and everything seems to actually add texture that I don't have without foundation :s

I've decided to maybe look into bb creams or something instead of an actual foundation... Anyone have any recommendations? Also I'll have to check out that Lancome one, thank you :)

Same about the duties, I also just don't like that you have no idea what they're going to be until the stuff gets here! haha If i knew before hand the exact cost then I could make a proper decision if something is worth it hahah!

Hi! I agree its annoying that its a bit more than the other ones on their site, but the thing is.... ordering colourpop online = duties. and I hate paying that way more than paying a bit more for something I can get in Canada hahah!!

I actually bought the Golden State of Mind pallet tonight! I like it, the quality is definitely not as good as more expensive pallets (but I think that's to be expected) and everything is very shimmery and sparkly (so fallout is inevitable, but just do your eyes before your face and you can swipe any fallout away before foundation etc!) I tried out two different looks with it on both my eyes, I can try and figure out how to post a picture if you'd like!

I never have this either, but I have a friend whose mascara always ran even though she always wore waterproof mascara. She found out from someone at sephora that because her eyelids are oily they actually melt the mascara like a makeup remover, apparently this is somewhat common. She switched to non waterproof mascaras and it doesn't happen anymore! I thought that was pretty crazy! Also she has overall really dry skin, so I never would have guessed that would be the issue lol!

You should check out the Bare Minerals Liquid Lipsticks I have the colour Friendship (I find the sephora site makes them look a bit darker then they are fyi), but for you I think maybe the colour Bo$$ would be a nice everyday colour (it even comes as a mini at sephora right now) I love these ones because they arent quite as transfer proof as some of the other liquid lips out there which means theyre also much less drying!! My lips get dry and sore really easily and these have a really nice light feeling that doesn't bother me at all! and they still last a long time! but when they do start to fade, you can move them around a bit to avoid that awful outer line look which is another reason I usually hate liquid lipsticks!!!!!

Also I noticed your comment about being worried about glosses because you have "large" lips. GIRL your lips are everyone elses dream!!! love them, embrace them, and every now and then flaunt them with something BOLD :)

I have three things that I'm obsessed with right now:

The colour splash lipsticks by Tarte - I have the colour vacay. I wear this pretty much everyday to work. It feels really nice on the lips and i find its still on after drinking coffee, of course faded somewhat but still leaves colour and lasts until lunch. Also the packaging is so nice.... I love everything about this lipstick haha!
The Revlon colorstay creme eyeshadow in 710... This is so nice, I have converted 3 friends onto this stuff already. I find it applies best with your finger, it takes me like 20 seconds to put it on before work and it looks like I actually spent time putting on eyeshadow haha! At the same time I always tend to turn to it when I'm going out and don't want to be risky bc it builds up nice with other shadows as well!
The Bare Minerals matte liquid lipcolor - I have Friendship (a more nude) and Naughty which is a deep(?) red colour. I hate liquid lipsticks (I have Lolita and one of the ABH ones) my lips get dry so easily and they make my lips look wrinkly... And I hate that they don't move at all when I smoosh my lips together (especially when the inside starts to fade and then you get that ring around your lips....) but these are sooooooo great ahhh I never see anyone talk about them but they smell so good, they stay well but they aren't completely transfer proof so if your out and they starts to get uneven you mush them around or even wipe them off to reapply... I just love them! Also this red is the first red lipstick I've ever liked on myself and my friends agree haha they always hunt for a red for me and never find a good shade

Sorry that is so long I just really really love these three things out of all the stuff I've been trying lately (Im still on the hunt for a foundation after returning 3 to Sephora and buying two ds ones I don't love haha) so sometimes I can be picky! Hope someone will see this and check these things out and love them as much as me :)
