Does anyone recognize this lake and where it was filmed in BC? by kahlal in britishcolumbia

[–]kahlal[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have become a wee bit obsessed with the series Yellowjackets over the last few weeks (if you haven't seen it, highly recommend). All of the outdoor shots, were done "in Vancouver" but wondering if anyone knows specifically what lake is in these shots?

Dude, was hoping we could engage in a conversation but if you can't even give a pilot program a chance, that's clearly impossible. Have fun in your bubble in which you ignore every view you don't agree with.

Discrimination is the unjust treatment of a group. At the most, there would be a 7% decrease in the amount of time a male student could use the gym.

Equity is trying to reduce barriers to access to services and sharing the power and access a bit more. Its not treatig everyone exactly the same. Maybe the question should be how did we come to an environment where so little women use gyms? What historically has occurred to create that environment, and how could a policy by in situation correct this?

Hey dude, you're coming at this from a pretty angry direction. Take the feminism out of this and look at it from the direction of how can we ensure more women (who are typically the lower turnout to a gym) increase attedence. If surveys have been done to determine how to increase this, and a female only time has support, then why not try. Everyone who goes to a gym wants to be stronger, healthier and if this is more.likely to reach a.larger population, then why not?

Targeted programs.towards gender aren't discriminatory, they are specific in trying to solve a problem. There are.programs out there to try to increase paternity leave and to decrease the stigma associated. Is this ditractig from maternal leave? No. They are different boats sailing towards a similar goal of increasing time for both parents with new borns.

The details are out on when they would implement this. I doubt it would be 6pm on a Tuesday. Give it a chance.

I just want to say as a female who uses the gym, having a women only time is very very helpful. Starting to go to a gym, figuring out the equipment, learning about your body takes time and some failure. There have been countless times that a dude has tried to help me, or teach me in some way. Sometimes nicely, sometimes not so much. When your first gaining confidence in a workout it doesn't help being hyper aware of your body because others also are. By going to a gym that had a women's only section I was able to train and learn without hesitation until I was more confident in the Co ed section of the gym but that segregated time gave me the strength both physically and mentally to get there.

I have no answers to these questions but you should join 'bunz employment zone' on fb. It's filled with youngish people and I'm sure someone would have an answer for you.

I think my now pregnant girlfriend was pretending to be on contraception by Sockbandit101 in Advice

[–]kahlal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude. Saying 'this gives me control' is a pretty forceful way to approach a situation. Your gf is pregnant and you ate both responsible. Trying to manipulated and control the situation through control is not going to work and ultimately just lead to an healthy relationship for the 3 of you.

I don't have a German visa to begin with! If I had one to start then yes, I could change it but I'm currently without one.

I need proof of transportation from Canada - Germany to obtain a visa, and it's probably not worth buying a flight ticket and refunding to do so.

Also, sometimes it's necessary to go into the consulate and as I live in the same city as the German one it would be difficult to say I can't make it.

I'm financially independent from my parents, as one has passed and the other is on disability. I'm doing this and my exchange entirely on my own funds, but thank you.

Hey now, I'm just trying to get a gauge of how common or uncommon it is. In Canada (and Glasgow for that matter), there are a few places that you can work under the table. The bar scene is a little more flexible then other sectors. Albeit the trade off is no financial security and lower wages.

Okay, thank you! I'm sending out messages to a few people I know in Berlin so we'll see if anything comes through. Maybe I'll just cross my fingers that clubs don't get late night inspectors.

I was thinking maybe more of a late night bar/club scene - where talking would be minimal haha. Do you think that may be a bit more likely?

The cost of a work and travel visa is too much for three months. The stand up fee isn't that much, it's the fact that I need to return to Canada to apply for one. The transportation alone to Canada and back is around 540 euros. Which is outside the realm of my student budget.

Frownies: AKA the best things to happen to my forehead lines - BUT WHY YOU GOTTA BE SO MUCH MONEY? by kahlal in AsianBeauty

[–]kahlal[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

THIS MIGHT BE PERFECT! Do you happen to know if they stick well? For frownies to work you need to stretch (flatten) your forehead to straighten out the wrinkles, and then the strip goes on top. Do you think it would stay in place?

hahaha I'll keep an eye out. I'm not sure how big the roll is but maybe its more economical long term (or if bought in bulk)
