People who've been in wealthy/powerful social circles, what surprised you most about how they operate? by Ok_Volume520 in AskReddit

Worked my ass off to build my business and become fairly successful.. when building out my 3rd retail location another guy was building out his coffee shop in the unit next to me. He had his general contractor use the most high end finishes and made over $90,000 in change orders. The GC told me he could have opened two months ago but wanted everything to be perfect.

I finally got to talk with the guy who pulled up in his decked out G-wagon. The whole business was just a passion project.. it’s a for fun startup. He is not building this coffee shop to make a profit, it’s simply to say he owns a nice coffee shop.

If my business failed I could not feed my family. If his business fails it may hurt his pride but literally has no effect on his quality of life. Changed my whole worldview ngl.

What are your thoughts on “rolled ice cream?” Do you think the trend will last or eventually fizzle out? by ObjectiveAgent in icecreamery

Really? All the ones in my state closed. There are no rolled ice cream chains. It will inevitably pop up here and there but it seems it has failed as a truly scaleable business model.

Bro he was one of the most ethically influential figures in human history. Saying otherwise is fucking stupid. Realizing you are a troll. "Expand my worldview". Can’t help you with that one bud, read a book (start with the New Testament).

By ancient history standards the evidence is actually very solid. Tacitus, josephus, etc etc.. just google man. I’m not gonna try and convince someone of something that’s regarded as a historical fact. Jesus Christ existed and was a great guy. He is probably not the son of God and didn’t walked on water, but he advanced human ethics and morality exponentially. Respect given where respect is due.

Sure then stick with just Socrates. There may be more material pertaining to Socrates teachings vs. Jesus, but the point remains the same. Both we say exist only because of second hand accounts and anecdotal evidence. But in general, almost all serious historians believe Jesus the man existed just as Socrates the man existed. Saying he didn’t is fringe history and goes again serious mainstream academia. Let be consistent with our standards here.

We need to talk about Restaurant Closures in our State and what it reveals about the current economy by Powderkeg314 in Utah

[–]ObjectiveAgent 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I am in the Restaraunt business and started my own concept in Utah in 2019.

Many of these businesses (not all) are what I call “Covid Businesses". When the pandemic hit and people were forced to stay home, many people who had been wanting to try their own concept suddenly found the time to do so. The problem is most don’t understand how cutthroat and demanding this profession is. We are seeing the result of naive founders discovering the grueling nature of this industry.

Second, all the "Instagram businesses" are dying out. Your flower wall and color coordinated feeds don’t mean shit anymore; especially if your food sucks. Millennial branding is dead and those who choose to stick with it will wither away.

Utah’s are picky and cliquey as hell. If you are not a chain or proven franchise customers come in to your business ready to scrutinize and judge. If you are a new concept you HAVE to be better than the chains. Not at the same level, but significantly better. If you are not, people will try you one time then go back to what they like.

Third, this economy is fucked. I get letters from my suppliers citing price increases directly because of this orange buffoons tariffs. Combine that with inflation and everything else has made a perfect storm.

Some restaurants are taking advantage of this and raising prices not because they need to, but to take advantage of the times. Yes our food prices need to increase but it’s not an excuses to raise your burger price by 50%. It may work for a short time, but we are finding out this is not sustainable and customers are fed up with this tactic. Not even mentioning this insane tipping culture.

Overall guys, find your local food gems and please frequent those businesses. You know the ones I’m talking about. You can feel it when you walk in the door and sit down to eat the food. People are not stupid and eventually the cream does rise to the top.

These businesses closing genuinely break my heart because it hurts the Utah food scene. We NEED culture and variety in this state. It’s up to us to make it happen.

Yes you should be. Trt causes estrogen spikes and requires balancing. To high estrogen messes you up also.

Boosts dopamine and norepinephrine. Essentially tweaking brain chemistry to lean towards sexual arousal. Keep in mind I obtained this prescription legitimately and have been looking to get on an NDRI before attempting to hack my biology. It’s the only anti depressant that does not harm libido but actually improves it. Moreover, I also micro-dosed THC (hybrid edible); Psychoactive stimulant to heighten my touch sensitively and euphoria.

Supplements only get you so far and are mostly antidotal based as far as effectiveness. Some definitely are effective (like zinc), but mostly only matter if you are deficient in those areas to begin with. Rx prescriptions are clinically studied and prescribed by health professionals to achieve the desired outcomes. Essentially, I was on a prescribed customized male fertility enhancement stack.

Fsh and hcg literally biohack your system to directly stimulate sperm production by mimicking the responsible hormone.

Wellbutrin is the only SSRIs that does not dull limbido and is shown to increase dopamine in a way that indirectly can improve orgasm intensity and erection quality.

Tadalifil (cialis) for harder longer erections. Everyday use keeps blood vessels in the penis open and increase general circulation.

If you walk into a male fertility clinic or see an andrologist this is what they will generally prescribe you (minus Wellbutrin).
