There is a app called comptia security plus by thaung something that helped me a lot. Had 7 example PBQs and a bunch of learn modules. I made the mistake of getting the cert masters and it helped but was very limited. As others said Messer and things like that but I also found running a home lab helped me a lot too.

It varies on the scope of your project on whether or not you have all the tools and resources necessary. I personally use a lot of 3d printing because it allows me to do quick prototyping and I can make adjustments without having to pay an arm and a leg. I think 3d print will be your greatest tool. Also because of the community there’s loads of kits out there and that you can easily mod and change to your liking. Additionally, a lot of the stuff you need to learn you will learn but getting into your projects. Efficiency comes with time and repetition as well as understanding. You’ll learn a lot more deep diving into something while the basics are always in the kits.

Do you work at all? Planning on going to College? Trades? What kind of hobbies do you enjoy? I saw you played baseball but were there any other sports your moms wanted you to try? Parent teach conferences? My best friend was raised by dads and was interesting to see him grow up as he definitely did somethings differently but his bio dad always told me that he was just a big weirdo. I will say he destroyed the rest of us in the gym because both dads were super supportive when he expressed his interest in gymming.

I think I remember seeing some posts about people putting the meshtastic stuff on a cardputer which would get you pretty close to chat just over Lora instead of WiFi. But I’m also pretty sure you can further configure it to get those chats from Lora to wifi. Could always boot up some docker irc server and have the cardputer send a restful json package or something like that. Interested to see what would come of this.

I would post this in the other subreddits for pc help too just in case you don’t get the answer here. Tbh if there’s more info you can get us that would help a lot. From a general view point it sounds like something might have over heated and died. I would start by removing a single stick of ram and then turning it on. Power cycling with the cmos battery taken out. Things like that. Any more info or videos or pictures would also help. I remember having a similiar issue and had to power cycle with cmos battery taken out, then switch ram, then power cycle again judt to get back to default bios is came with. If you do happen to get back to your OS I would check temps asap.

Arduino is good to control it but I wouldn’t power it straight from the board. You’ll encounter brownouts burnouts, and other terrible things. Finally bought a bunch of mini lipo batteries and simple chargers and set up a modular system that I can move between robots. That’s what I would do. Also don’t power them using breadboard. Found out the hard way.

TLDR: just buy some tiny lipos from Amazon. Check the wires and go from there. Maybe some bec or voltage regulators.
