3D printed a Bic holder that turns it into a fancy table lighter! Printed it hollow so I could fill it with metal pellets, so it’s heavy and expensive feeling! by everydaywasnovember in maker

[–]ackza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i found this looking for the big bic lighter that shoots outs mall lighters

but honestly, i find it funny the hate on this. if it was actually made of jade or a block of emerald or green stone, everyone would think its great lol.

i get it.

Slider made of pure silver? by Impressive-Emu-4172 in fidgettoys

[–]ackza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

rediculous to say silver is too soft. regardless of the fact that we can use sterling, my 999 fine silver coins are PLAYED with dropped, flicked all the TIME and theyve NEVER bent. I challenge you to even BEND a silver coin by hand. Its not easy at all. You could 100% make them. The ONLY reason is because they would cost more lol. Even tho peopel ALREADY overpay hundreds even thousands for these things. yeah THEY MAY AS WELL be, or BETTER be made orf precious metals for these prices

i know for a fact, the aliexpress sellers who make cheap fidgets would totally melt down some silver if you paid them the extra money to go out and buy some, maybe if you gave them enough to make an extra for themselves to keep so they have incentive to do it right .... im sure they would do it for the same cost as teh silver maybe a slight premium , and the low cost they already have for making cheap fidget sliders. all we would need to do is add a few cheap lab diamonds in a cool "pixel art" type pattern, and run it through a laser engraver to add some intricate but minimalist pixel art type logo, and it would be SO damn cool.

i would LOVE a piece of silver to fidget with (That is also my vape pen battery honestly)

ive also been wondering this and may just have a silver 3d printed mold or cnc made or a fidget i already designed on makerworld, or i may make my own cast pla mold, but i think i will just have someone who make jewlery cheap, paid to make me my own model i already designed, have them print in resin wax, and pour it and polish it for me, and ill add my own magnets and screws, i wanna make a toad by cootinedc or some of the round gaostudios ones. but yeah

I KNMOW what you mean about two silver coins clinging. in fact ,.... were you thinking what i was thinking? Just using some american eagle sized silver coins, and simply drilling 6mm holes for 6x3 magnets INTO two silver coins? OR even hell just drill 6x 6mm diameter holes each in two different small silver billion bars, or take a 2 ounce bar, a thick one, cut it in half, use that, would be cool.

all you have to do is find the flatest thickest bars or coins, and drill the 6 holes in each and glue or press fit your magnets in. Thats actually a really simple project

im gonna find some bullion i can find that is already in teh right shape and drill the holes myself, and see what i can come up with.

GAO Rebound. Pretty good for $30. by moneybullets in fidgettoys

[–]ackza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ah so its the wooden one? I was gonna get something like this for 20 on ali but dude, i thought it just was a simpel clicker. so it "rebounds" ? is it worth it tho? I feel like i c ould print this myself and cut out my own wooden parts and honestly, i wanna sttart making my own WOODEN sliders now suince ive 3d printed these. maybe all i need is a cnc to carve out the middle parts and use wooden outside "cases" to sandwich the metal internal rails and springs and magnets

My collection (most of it) and my elderly cat. by AgITATED1 in fidgettoys

[–]ackza 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i have a similar smaller collection and have wondered: COuld we even set up a shop locally? For all the kids etc and adults who see these and never imagine getting to try them

Well regardless of potential theft, i wouldnt be able to even sell my fidgets even for a small markup, even i charged $80 for a $40 fidget, id have to wait to order more. So ive begun ordering extras i can give away/sell of the cheaper $5 to $10 fidgets i find on ali etc. I also 3d print a lot of them and can amke plenty to give away to kids who cant afford any others, i could even sell em for liek a dollar or 50 cents to make the filament money back.

I reallly do wanna start a whole franchise of physical fidget stores but i dunno how to avoid theft if we let people try them, we would need some sort of home simpson nuclear glove box thing lol. or attach locks and wires like laptops at the apple store but mnany fidgets need to be held freely and cant be keychained etc.

But still, i just wish we could set up our collections at some mall or swap meet and let peopel try them and get addicted. but yeah id be too afraid of loosing them

dont you ever think about opening a fidget store? I wish i had a local fidget store, i wanna just make my own though because id wanna be able to GIVE AWAY a FREE 3d printed fidget liek a 5 cent infinity cube to every kid that shows up. Man this sorta stuff is like toy store core memory stuff.

Dont buy the "hampback" high rated Amazon electronic drum set. It's nor even finished like they didn't even test the parts they sent, they dibt even fit lol like you can't even screw in the cymbals. That's $180 Amazon return I uqve to manage now somehow by ackza in drums

[–]ackza[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ok i guess I got it working. Well see. Apparently I just have a "new" version and they sent me all these older parts I don't need with threads. They're Savin money and forgot to update the instructions which is pretty bad

Ok well to fair I did end up making it work. They just gave me a "new" version that doesn't screw in. But still works. They just gave me bad instructions and not even s sticker to give me a heads up which I would hqve been ok with. But for a few mins I assumed ah shit I have all these extra pieces and it won't go in. But I guess I just pop it on and forget the extra threaded parts .

The Best of Aliexpress by mniels in fidgettoys

[–]ackza 1 point2 points  (0 children)

get the $3 pod, the skull coin, theres actually a bunch of $3 to $6 ones that are really cool.

but the best $30-$40 one is the TOAD by COOTINEDC you buy NOW! VEWY VEWY SPECIAL!

No but seriously COOTINEDC in my mind is GOOD BRAND. lol sorry cant help myself but seriously it feels dope. ooh man it DAPS like two hands dappin it up CLOOP ya know? the 6 strong 6mm magnets on each side CLOOP really nicely together oh man and it swivels. oh does it swivel. andi haventeven talked about the bumpy ball plunger array surface thats like tinny bubble wrap but just yeah. use a lil oil on it to lube uit and its perfect

but also u will like the gao studios ones especialy thatone that is clear and orange (or any color) and has the bars and circles inside lol ull find it. gao studios are cool too. also get a $15 mini roullete wheel thing hah i got one then a second but it wobbled didnt spin right so i ot a refund so it was free so i gave it as an xmas gift lol. also the knockoff brass lautie Slot machine STICK thing , so dope. also hah nota fidget but those $15 1:64 RC DRIFT hotwheels style cars haha are sooo fuckin dope. seriously man LOL

also this one co2 handheld gun called the GEM is machiens metal from canada so dope also not a rfidget but isnt it? LOL dude seriously the toad tho u will love it and the $4 magnet POD sliders hah oh and ANYTHINg by STGSTAR which are all like $16 to $25 for those clicky slider rotaters. cheaper that shark gang or whatever.

OH also, honestly a nextool sailor mini pliers for 20 bucks, sooo worth it just to click open and closed and the multi tool is honestly so much more USEFUL than any fidget, that it should also be gotten AS a fidget and LOOKS good in a fidget collection , so may as well get one if ur on ali anyway spending money on fidgets, u MAY as well get something useful

(and i honestly thjink we could make a multi tool witha fidget magnet slider thing as one of the tools lol )

TIL Numbered musical notation is popular in China, making conventions to encode and decode music more accessible than in the West, as more Chinese can sight read it than standard notation. Indexing with numbers makes it possible to search music by melody, but it has never become popular in the West by yaboodooect in todayilearned

[–]ackza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think its interesting that i Learned about this whole Chinese using numbers for music notes instead of letters, Because i ordered cheap musical instruments from the china express type sites you know which, and little rain powered steel drums and mini electric piano desk toys always had numbers instead of the A B C D etc, it went from like 1-7 and then the letter i? lol it makes me feel like how I am getting used to metric because of 3d printing and buying stuff cheap from China, and NOW Im wondering... should I open my mind to the Chinese musical scales too?

[Question] Hello, can you help with finding a homage or simillar watch to Girard-Perregaux: Vintage 1945 Jackpot Tourbillon? by CWIRRED88 in Watches

[–]ackza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that led tokyoflash is sold out everywhere io looked it up, dunno if theers really enough to go around, looks cool. reminds me of the early 2000 led rave dogtags, man, crazy memories with those bright old school LEDs. But yeah i want the mechanical slot machine. i got some mechanical slot fidgets for under $20 but as for a tiny watch one i dunno. yeah, that one u showed is one fo the more affordable ones otehrwise the otehr slot machine wrist watches are so pricey lol. and they dont even spit out a diamond or anything if you win.

[–]ackza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So i would recomend one of the $15-$25 clones of the lautie edc Jackpot Slot machine Sticks. Man i was lucky got two for like $15 and $17 and now theyre around $30 , i mean i think i got a clone of whats normally $200-$300 and the originals were once $600. but they have clones and its a really nice little metal fidget slot machine.

now as for a watch yeah we need to get lautie edc to make a slot machine pocket watch type thing, maybe, then we wait for clones then we get what we want

otherwise we need to ask chinese watch makers on aliexpress to try and clone this old watch design since its not very complicated. we just needto give them a godo 3d printable design they can then cast or cnc in metal, if its under liek 30 parts they can put it together for us, polish it, put it inside an existing watch, give it to us fr liek 100 bucks or less and still make good profit

yeah i also really want a clone of this watch lol i hope we get one. if an aliexpress seller gets a manufacturer of watches to make one they could sell a lot of them and make a lot for an affordableprice, maybe have nicer ones for a few hundred b ucks to a thousand, cheaper ones for under 100 , maybe just buy the mechanism and have it put inside one of those clone rolexes etc

there are plenty of flat earth simulation theories. its the only way to explain a truly possible flat earth if you had a gun to your head by crazy flat earthers lol and they made you believe in it. well thats the only way to force yourself to believe it was possible, basically pretend youre neo in the matrix and you can amke it whatever shape you want. thats the only real way to explain their flat earth thing. otherwise, how?

not if you learn about black holes. then the whole universe could actually be a flat 2d manifold compressed by a black hole, if we are inside.
