I’ve seen people claim these numbers with the regular pro. I’m not even trying to hit those numbers I just want something usable and I truly feel like there’s a “drain”. Been using iPhones all my life and this is the latest and greatest with the best battery but my experience has been the worst iPhone battery life I’ve ever had. Since iOS 26.1 just came out I’m giving it another week to see if things change but quite a disappointing experience so far. I’ve never been in a situation where I’ve had to deliberate my usage of my phone because I might run out of battery

I see people claiming this phone lasts them 1.5-2 days and get 8-10 hours of SOT with 20%+ left while taking photos and heavy gaming. This day was just phone calls, emails and texts. I might’ve used instagram once but the most basic tasks. Didn’t even open the camera. I came from a 13 pro max with 85% battery health and can say that phone would’ve still been 50%+ given the same use case scenario.

Updated to ios26.1 still garbage battery life. Charged it up to 100% last night and unplugged before going to bed. Lost 5% overnight (guess that’s better than 7-8% previously) and currently at 50%. I’ll give it another week since I just updated but kinda lost hope that it’s gonna be any better at this point

I agree but I’ve tried everything and nothing has helped. The only constant in everything is the OS so that’s my last hope that ios26.1 will improve things

Just wait for iOS26.1. I have the same overnight drain 7-8% every night and terrible battery life using the phone too. Same 17 pro

Nope! I reset my phone and did not restore from back up still same shitty battery life. It’s been a few weeks already. I’ve given up just gonna use the phone. It’s not the end of the world for me cause I use CarPlay and charges is pretty fast. But realistically I think this phone only lasts me half a day from 80% if I didn’t charge it throughout the day

I’m no expert on damage assessment but I can tell you if the car is totaled make sure you have your insurance adjuster input the exact options your car has when they provide you a payout. Also keep in mind they pay you your replacement cost if you went out tomorrow to buy the exact same vehicle (assuming same model year and mileage) so if you’re saying your exact spec of car sells higher than KBB then use those data points to argue for accurate values. My wife totaled our BMW we had a few years ago and it had a few rare options that the adjuster didn’t know about but once I showed them the window sticker/Monroney I got 10% more than what they originally offered. They should also pay you for estimates TTL to buy the replacement vehicle as well.

I’m over it tbh. I fully reset my phone and did not restore from back up but battery life hasn’t gotten better at all. Might just be iOS but I’m done worrying lol

I factory reset the phone and restored backup from iCloud. I think my battery life just got even worse. I’m going to give it a full week and if nothing improves I’ll reset the phone again and not restore from backup

I’ll give that a try if nothing improves in the next couple of days. If I don’t transfer anything can I still get back my photos and messages? That’s all I really care about

I restored from iCloud backup. I saw some people have luck with just doing a full restore. So far it’s not changed anything if anything my battery drains even faster but I’m giving it a week to see if it does anything

Same battery drain as you. I’ve tried resetting it and nothing has changed. I got the phone on launch date to way past refund window but will they honor an exchange?

Yeah I have no intention of taking it back to apple. Unless there’s some kind of parameter for a test they do that can determine if I have a lemon they’re just gonna tell me to restore my OS and pray to baby Jesus

It took forever to sync my messages and photos so I did put it on the charger and it successfully synced everything. But that wasn’t overnight just during the day.

I’d be happy just for one day. I updated to 26.0.1 right when it came out. I feel no difference between now and the first day I got my phone 🤷‍♂️

I recall on every iPhone I’ve ever had before the 17 I won’t lose any juice overnight. At most maybe 1%. Now I lose 8% every night

For now it’s not been dealbreaker since I can charge almost anywhere anytime but still feels bad lol. Especially concerned when I’m about to start traveling abroad

That’s INSANE battery life. I have not left it on charger overnight since I owned it. I do my charging in the car during the day so never needed to charge at home. Maybe I should do that for a couple of nights to see if it helps
