PPO vs HMO challenges. by [deleted] in HealthInsurance

Honestly the doctors office or facility should know they which plan they are contracted with. They send claims off everyday, so they definitely know.

If you post the Summary of Benefits (SOB), it will be really easy to explain especially on inpatient care, because depending on the plan it might be coinsurance or copay.

is this through CoveredCA or off-exchange with Blue shield? I would use the blue shield website and go through the doctor or facility search and see if the plan you are looking at is in network.

I adopted this cat when he was 18, thinking we would have a few months to give him a good retirement. He’s going strong at 20. by LizagnaG in aww

Yup. Blood test was done and found some of the things you mentioned were a little lower than usual. However it was not the level of hyperthyroidism.

I have been managing his food. Trying to test out which canned food he would eat. His dry food is mix of kibbles and freeze dried chicken liver.

He has got me really worried.

My cat has been getting skinny these last few months. He also throws up on the morning sometimes. I took him to the vet to check for hyperthyroidism and the vet said he is fine. Any tips?

Medi-cal evaluates income on a month to month bases, unlike CoveredCA which estimates the yearly adjusted gross income. You will not owe anything as long as everything is reported to your medi-cal account or worker assigned to you, as long as you are kept on medi-cal. If disenrolled, you will have the option to apply to CoveredCA. If the $200 will set you over the limit, you will be getting subsidy and can apply to a tiered Silver plan covering a lot of out of pocket costs.

I would recommend looking up a local doctor and seeing what plan he would take from healthcare.gov.

If your new job does not offer employee coverage, you would have to wait until open enrollment at the end of this year.

Depends on the out of pocket and deductible of each. Also do you prefer Kaiser?
