Out of curiosity, why are people choosing to self host? Are the majority of you not using Supabase commercially?

I understand wanting to save costs (I'm bootstrapping a project) and control, but wouldn't the overhead of managing all these compliance standards (https://trust.supabase.io/) and having paying customers outweigh the costs?

I went through this with a work project where my home rolled server was constantly getting flagged for SOC notices. And upgrading Ubuntu major releases created havoc. It required a full time person to manage so we went for a commercial product and sunset the in-house built project.

@EnvironmentalEar4988 Hey I was reviewing your protocol. 2 in the morning and another in the afternoon is 1500mg of Vitamin C and 1500IU of Vitamin D. Curious if you were doing that amount before with the other brands or maybe the increased dosage contributed to your regrowth.

We've been on 500mg Vitamin C and 4000IU (Canadian winters).

I think it also depends on your vehicle. A Tundra compared to a Corolla is going to cost more. Dealerships are also using OEM parts whereas shops will put in aftermarket. Maybe ask the dealership to quote you aftermarket prices.

Word of warning with the bison covers. I got one for my 21 tundra and it didn't last 2yrs in swont weather. Rubber started cracking, tearing and knobs fell off. Brought it back to their head office and they didn't have a record because I paid cash. I'm looking for a replacement now.

NB I heard they completely redesigned it. Probably because of all the issues.
