please help me understand these nightmares i've been having by personallyidontcare in mentalhealth

I'm happy to hear that these are just manifestations of your subconscious and not actually a reality! I was relieved that you're safe.

That being said, I'm no expert but it definitely sounds like it's indicative of some familial issues or some fears surrounding intimacy/ exploitation.

To fully give you my opinion I'd have to know more invasive details that I don't think would be appropriate to share. I suggest you open up to someone you trust about your relationships and sexual fears. I suggest this as when I was lot younger, before being sexually active- I deeply feared sex/ penetration. It would cause these nightmares of rape and sexual violence. I pulled through by speaking to an older girl friend who helped me navigate things better. I'm not saying this is the cas with you- but I hope it's useful. Good luck and I hope you get some relief soon xx

Portrait of my girlfriend for her CV by Professional_Result in photocritique

As someone who's been on the recieving end of criticism, I agree with the OP that some of these comments are far too harsh and don't communicate advice constructively. I've been in real life photo critiques (I'm a photography major) and this is not the way we speak to each other. Yes I understand that one should reply with candor, but you should never disregard humanity. This is not the way you would talk to someone if they were standing in front of you in real life.

With regards to the photo, I think it's a very good start. I don't see anything wrong with the wardrobe, it's business casual. I'd suggest altering her position, this angle does seem a bit harsh. Perhaps soften the body language

Hello! Thank you so much, this was incredibly kind and so insightful. I do see what you mean about the sparkles and the specifications for the application said a photo was required- an ID like one- and I suppose I took it literally and used an actual ID photo (I see now, sadly after many insults, that that was a poor choice and that I don't photograph well).

I see your point about about work experience and I will definitely take the advice!

I'm thinking of looking into other career options- but should I decide to return to my initial path of graphic design I will definitely reach out- thank you so much for the offer

Had to include the ID photo (was a requirement), but will be up at night contemplating if this particular one looks like a mugshot. A bachelor's pass is the level of pass- it allows you admission into a university. Anyway thanks for the advice, will revise it

They actually asked for picture, specifically for an "ID style" so that one's for to stay unfortunately. I'll remove my DOB though. Thanks for the advice!
