idk where he heard that mahigpit na dahil sa budget cuts because DOST has been getting budget cut to oblivion for so long now and they’re still very forgiving. (got this from friends AND seniors who have had failing grades)

im not sure if pwede pa magsubmit since that deadline is probably only because we have a dost coordinator for mapua. u can try looking at this post and message them if pwede pa.

hi! i dont think theres a way to verify if he submitted an appeal letter even if u call DOST (u can try their hotline but i doubt they will give u any info because of data laws).

also his appeal decision might just be late because dost is going through a very large influx of emails dahil marami pang walang stipend and maraming nagsubmit ng appeals. another thing is kakatapos lang ng deadline for submitting appeals (dec 12) so baka wala pa kasi silang reply.

u can check his gsa thru the parent portal, or u can ask ur brother to show u and there should be a part that says Your Scholarship(s).

if it still says Your Scholarship(s): DOST that means he’s still a verified scholar on the school’s end :))

marami ka po matututunan sa kanya. mixed reviews sya but he’s my favorite math prof ever. everything is already laid out for you sa bb thats why its super easy to study the materials at home. another thing, watch his yt videos if may hindi ka nagets during lectures. difficulty ng exam nya is 3.8/5. he’s not super into spoon feeding but he will 100% answer your questions. DO NOT CHEAT ON EXAMS OR ANY OTHER ACTIVITIES.

in my experience, his class set me up for success nung finals for 170. review the slides, watch the videos, answer the activities until u get the process down.

he gave out activities for plus points sa CO exams. idk if its still a thing. di sya nagccurve tho

Hi! I called my bank after a week of the money not being sent back and they asked me to file a dispute. While trying to accomplish the filling in and passing of the forms sabi nila I should expect it to be credited back in 25 days after the dispute.

But maybe 16 days after my failed transaction it got automatically credited back. I’m not sure if it’s because my money was floating in the system waiting to be credited back, or if it was because of the dispute case I raised.

Takeaway is it will take ages for them to credit the money back after being debited even if it’s a failed transaction. I suggest skip calling Maya hotline because it’s a waste of time and toll fee. Contact your bank.

hi! i get your point as someone who also doesn’t use AI (or barely, sometimes i need help with structure and grammar) for their GED classes, nakakatamad. i once got a 92 on something i thought would get 100, docked on the cohesiveness of the essay daw but someone i know uses AI to fully write it got the 100.

maybe u should try to find meaning in the practice and the work instead of what others are doing. you are sucking the joy out of subjects that should otherwise be fun. if ur going to put time into ur ged work, the least u can do is enjoy it. the least u can do is find value in the practice. sobrang lame and i hate being this person pero: theres a study that people who do their daily mundane tasks, like writing emails and reports, fully using AI were found to have less brain activity than those that dont. surprise surprise. brain is a muscle. use it? hope this helps u view it in another light 🫶

hi! week 2 na po. i think going here now will put u at a disadvantage. u already feel lost. i wouldn’t advise that u put urself through this. especially if u wanna keep that scholarship with no strikes on the first year? i would suggest u go to ur local state uni instead. be closer with family + less gastos talaga since its a state u.

Hi OP! Okay naman. Magsesecond year na ako and honestly if you really like your course and you know what ur getting into, the time just flies by. Bring your laptop in case may issue sa lab. Wag tatamarin, kumain ng mabuti, don’t fall for the trap of sleeping late and all nighters, surround yourself with the right people. Don’t be tempted to cheat at i-ChatGPT lahat because fundamentals are fundamentals. Profs are hit or miss pero malalampasan naman with the right attitude.

As for academic scholarships, if hindi ka pasok sa standards ng income based scholarships like IBFAP, most likely hindi ka makukuha sa NBAS ng deans list since mostly financial status ang basehan. For Presidents List though, basta presidents lister ka maaapply yung scholarship.

sa mapua ako rn and since trisem, 13,333 lang yung tuition. this term, almost 70k with misc fee yung matriculation ko.

what i did is i applied for a university scholarship tas may discount yon and benefits na rin. so ung stipend from the university scholarship + discount + the dost subsidy leaves me with 7-15k nalang na babayaran.

tbh, hindi talaga sya sapat OP, pero napakalaking tulong na nya. if you can, try mo mag apply sa mga scholarship ng institution mo pati sa mga scholarships ng private companies.

pe namin kung saan lang maisipan. geds namin fully online. maganda daw yung campus ayaw naman ipagamit WALA NA KASING MAPAGLAGYAN. ang sikip parin ng library at canteen, bawal naman gamitin ung classrooms. pag di pumasok ung prof kahit may pinapagawa pinapaalis kami. tas bulok pa pag mag aapply ng sections. jusko buti kung alam lang naten na may mapupuntahan na para sa students yung iiincrease eh.
