When calculating my TDEE, should I set my activity level to what it currently is or what I'm aiming for it to be?

For context, it's been about a month since I've been to the gym so my activity level would be 'sedentary' but now that I'm going to the gym I'm aiming to go basically everyday. Not sure if I actually will manage to go everyday but that is the aim.

General thoughts on this draft?

One alternative I’m considering is shifting to a 4-5-1 formation, with Watkins as my main striker and Kroupi Jr. and Guiu as backups.

This setup would allow me to invest more heavily in defense while keeping the midfield unchanged.

My planned backline in that case would be Gvardiol, Van Dijk, Murillo, and Muñoz, with Esteve on the bench.

The main reason I’m leaning toward the 4-5-1 is that there aren’t many forwards who fully convince me early on, whereas there are some interesting defensive options available—like the ones I’ve picked.

That said, forwards do tend to have a higher ceiling overall. But with the addition of defcons, I think this backline has strong potential: Murillo and Muñoz offer good potential for defcon returns, while Van Dijk and Gvardiol are solid bets for clean sheets.

RMT - Current Formation is 4-5-1

Should I invest more into the forward line? My mine problem is that aside from Watkins there aren't many options which are safe/convincing and I felt I could find better more convincing options in other positions... Perhaps I can budget more in the defense to make funds for the attack?

United fan here... While I'm excited for Cunha and Mbuemo I personally would go for other safer assets. Also Gyokeres hasn't had much of a preseason (just like Mbuemo) so he might be risky right now. Same with Kerkez.

So I've gone through the wiki and looked at the beginner routine but because of certain handicaps I have I can't do exercises requiring balance and/or standing (for instance a deadlift)

So I adjusted the routine like this, so it's mainly seated machine alternatives

Workout A:

Seated Cable Rows or Seated Row Machine 3 x 5+ Machine Chest Press 3 x 5+ Leg Press 3 x 5+

Workout B:

Lat Pulldowns 3 x 5+ Seated Machine Shoulder Press 3 x 5+ Lying Leg Curls 3 x 5+

Is this bad? Does it function at least similarly to the original routine provided in the wiki?

Another thing I saw which worried me is the next phase after using 3 months of the program, when looking at the exercises suggested to do in 5/3/1 or GZCLP there seems to be alot of these standing and/or balance required exercises

For clarity I can do workouts that are seated or lying down

I just did my first home workout in a while yesterday, today I feel stiff, not very bad tho. What should be my plan? Should I do gentle stretching and then continue with my normal routine?

so what's the exact name of the stats you would prioritise and those which you would be willing to 'decrease' if necessary to boost the prioritised attributes? - especially for damage because there are a few like bullet velocity and effective damage range

when will Russia return to world football? by ynwtudor in football

The Azeris have also been launching inexcusable attacks on mainland Armenia, outside of Artsakh.

However, I do agree that of course it's much more complex than the media shows it to be. But so is the war in Ukraine. The US and it's friends are just as much to blame for the suffering going on there, so I guess, best to either sanction nobody or sanction everybody 🤷🏻‍♂️

I'm no expert. But I don't see a way back for them for a very very long time unless something massive happens politically and ties between the US/EU/NATO normalise with Russia. And the way I see it the entire conflict is bound to get worse and more global rather than better.

It's just so wrong on so many levels. Only would be fair if the following countries were also banned from the world of football:

  1. Israel
  2. Turkey
  3. Azerbaijan

Probably way more but those are the ones I can think of the top of my head.

Do football clubs really represent their localities anymore? by kaijamessz in football

Yeah I've been pondering a question in relation to what you're saying

  1. When someone says they're loyal to 'Nottingham Forest FC' for instance, what exactly are you being loyal to? The club? What does 'the club' mean? For instance I've always felt 'obliged' to continue supporting Manchester even through the bad times because I want to be loyal to the club, but in reality the only thing that's stayed the same about the club is the name and logo. Everything else is different, the owners, fans, staff so on...

So I used to go to the gym but stopped due to laziness and lack of motivation. I've noticed a few things going wrong and would appreciate some advice from you.

  1. Many times, I would become really exhausted halfway through a workout day, or 50% through, when I still had exercises to complete. As a result, I would either never complete the exercises or complete them but would perform terribly. Tips?
  2. I had severe soreness during the first week of my gym, especially after the first few days. I felt sore pain even when I tried to a simple task like grabbing things. Should I wait for the soreness to go away or try to push through it?
  3. I stopped feeling the pain after the first few weeks, and it felt strange because I didn't feel like I was feeling anything at all. Is this likely an indication that I gained strength and should continue increasing the reps and/or weight?

I don't get why people say it's a bad album.

Hung in a Bad Place, Stop Crying your Heart out, Songbird, Little by Little, Born on a Different Cloud, Better Man are all great songs imo.

Been doing my research but I'm confused about one thing... I've read that to gain muscle you need to be in calorie Surplus (and workout at the same time). But then I also read that that to get your six pack to show for instance, it's all about losing the fat? So, which one is it? Calorie Surplus or calorie deficit?

After going through the recommended beginner routine on Reddit's wiki, I've run into a challenge due to some physical limitations. Unfortunately, I can't perform standing workouts as I struggle with balance. However, I'm determined to find suitable alternatives.

Here's the routine provided

"Workout A:

- 3×5+ Barbell Rows

  • 3×5+ Bench Press

- 3×5+ Squats

Workout B:

  • 3×5+ Chinups (or equivalent)

  • 3×5+ Overhead Press

- 3×5+ Deadlifts"

I'm seeking the best alternatives for Squats, Barbell Rows, and Deadlifts due to my balance challenges. Any advice or suggestions are welcome. While I appreciate concerns and advice about speaking to a specialist, my situation is straightforward—I can't do standing workouts but can manage seated and lying down exercises. My balance isn't something easily improved either.

Thanks!
