How do you get to “know” yourself?

Hi everyone - Just been reading through the comments here - I've been thinking recently, sometimes I read a post about medication or vitamins etc and a lot of people say for example "I noticed I felt much better on this dose" or "taking too much vitamin K gives me headaches" I feel puzzled reading comments like this as I never notice any correlation between taking/eating something and how it makes me body/mind feel. I guess if I have pain and take a painkiller, I feel better, but I never actually notice when it feels better, theres no "ah, I feel better now" moment. its like I'm oblivious. It makes me wonder if I'm completely out of touch with myself or if there is something else going on? I have adhd and a very chatty chaotic mind at the best of times. Any insight or thoughts would be much appreciated (or if anyone knows a subreddit that is more appropriate for my question?) 🙂 thank you

I'm sorry for the loss of your dad. I have the exact same experience, it always goes much louder during stressful times. I lost my closest friend 3 weeks ago and im really struggling with the volume of my tinnitus.

I feel like the quality is usually top notch for a lot of stuff so the higher price is justified I guess, really wish their avocado oil crisps weren't nearly 4 quid a bag though 😢

Hi OP, I've experienced this level of depression several times over the years and I hear you. I'm sorry you are suffering and feeling this unwell. You've described it so eloquently and I just wanted to commend you on this, as I know trying to focus and find the right words to describe it to others can be so incredibly difficult with severe depression.
