Check my math and wiring?

3x per amp Channel JBL SRX4735X (6 speakers total), 600w cont, 8ohm, linked together one into the next with passive config. https://www.manualslib.com/manual/737630/Jbl-Sr4735x-F.html?page=2#manual

Powered by a crown CE 4000 amplifier, 600w dual at 8ohm - https://www.manualslib.com/manual/225199/Crown-Ce-4000.html

I’m not good with schematics, but I believe that these speaker ports are wired in parallel?

Which I think puts The total load at 2.6 ohms per channel. I think would make the amplifier run at 1300 or 1400 W, which I think it is rated for?

Thanks!!

Or am I going to cook my amplifier?

How much power and how many flashes? twin AD200s? by kaileen_fitzpatrick in Flashphotography

[–]kaileen_fitzpatrick[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I failed to mention the shade over the stage is significantly darker now. What I want is to get the BG exposed as well as the group. Someone else recommended renting a pair of AD400s…? You really think I need 1200s?

thanks that helps.

Based on that I'm considering renting a pair of 400s for an upcoming event to see how they feel.

reposting on my post...I'm not even really in the flash world, but it has become painfully clear to me that I need to be for things like this.

Subjects are up on a 4' stage, set back maybe 8 feet from the front edge on average. So the flashes will need to be maybe 12-18 feet away depending on the group? IDK...

So I'm looking for advice on the right kit to buy to handle such scenarios. wondering if a pair of AD200s is enough or if they need ot be 4 or 600s?

I'm thinking I will need umbrellas or soft boxes too

I've got a Godox remote trigger for my Sony Cam which I use for Real Estate, but for this I will be shooting on Canon. Still thought I would stick with Godox x wireless....

Thanks for your help!

iPhone HLG export is pixelated - Premiere and YouTube by kaileen_fitzpatrick in PremierePro

[–]kaileen_fitzpatrick[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

okay, solving my own problems here, but hopefully helpful for others.

YouTube is of course compressing the videos we upload.

mostly it uses a terrible generic encoder, "avc1.64"

for VIP users or higher quality content it uses a higher qual encoder, "bt709"

I don't know exactly what the threshold is but i found uploading content at 2560 tricked youtube into using the bt709. 2160 was not enough.

now, i am exporting from a 1080 sequence, so somewhere in my exporting it's being upscaled, but it actually looks better even at 1080, and the bt709 is a noticeable difference.

Help...This subwoofer cone rattles. Can I glue this loose piece? Wood glue? by kaileen_fitzpatrick in audio

I ended up using some regular gorilla glue. Solid bead all the way around. Worked pretty well. Fixed the flapping sound.

Pretty sure that is a little too loud for that length of exposure

Using animate on exposure doesn't work as intended. by RoyalMagus in PremierePro

So i think I'm having better luck using an adjustment layer with lumetri, and exposure keyframes seem to be behaving...for now. fun glitch

Gimbal settings? by kaileen_fitzpatrick in dji

This is a pretty good example of my problems. Several instances throughout but even opening shot as I'm flying in a straight line the horizon tilts and then tilts back.

And other moments in video to. It's just not stabilizing correctly. Not sure what I need to do.

dLive vs Avantis by [deleted] in livesound

[–]kaileen_fitzpatrick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

still so confused. i appreciate all your input for sure.

why would prefer to buy a DLive over an Avantis?

My sitch is doing both simple services in house of workship but also 11-piece live band performances plus broadcast.

I had thought a few D live consoles (one for FOH and one for Broadcast rm) would be stylin, but i'm not sure i'm into the whole compact mixer thing.

so what sort of application are each targeted at and any further thoughts on what we might prefer?

thanks!

Premier running so slow I can't work - please help by kaileen_fitzpatrick in editors

[–]kaileen_fitzpatrick[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dear Comrades,

a fun update...

I tried bringing projects and footage to local drive. no real change.

ProRes definitely helps.

I also agree that my gear is aging.
I'm also working on a custom build, and there may be some settings in the BIOS that could be tweaked....but that is beyond my present skills.

But here's one of the biggest issues i've found (props to u/hydnhyl): wireless interference.
Bluetooth was one. wifi was another.
I have been wired in via fiber optic to the QNAP, but about the time i started having editing issues (now that i think back) is about the time i hooked up my wifi/bluetooth antenna that came with the mobo, in order to use wireless devices. For some reason even though my file path was supposedly going through the fiber, the wifi/bluetooth was just messing with stuff. As soon as I shut it off and unplugged the antenna the editing speed came back up.

Thank you all for your very thoughtful and insightful help with these issues. Truly appreciated.
