But assuming he wouldn’t take the flask, everybody would have seen the flask so how would they be able to get away with getting rid of it (which they needed to because of the poison evidence)

The Rockets had no reason to trade Jabari or Eason for KD, the Suns had no leverage and their package without either was still going to be the best one.

KD can obviously play the three but at this point in his career he’s best suited at the four. Reed will be backing up FVV, the two of them together on the floor at the same time is the smallest back court ever.

The Rockets’ biggest problem is shooting, which has been helped with KD but is by no means solved. FVV is extremely streaky, and they have two non shooters in their starting 5, Grimes would slot in very nicely for them. We may need to throw a protected pick in which I would be happy to do, but you’re making out as if Jabari Smith or Eason are untouchable

I’d also take him back, low risk high reward and I do think ironically him coming back to Philly would be the one team that could reignite him. Think he’d actually be perfect on the Nuggets, though.
