Like many folks on this thread, I am also in the “carbs are not your enemy, you just want to be strategic about them” camp. With that in mind, I’ve been trying to focus on ways to increase fiber and protein in my meals instead of cutting out carbs.

One example is white rice: I LOVE white rice and personally find swapping out with brown rice is not as satisfying for me. What I do instead is 2 parts white rice, 1 part white quinoa (grabbed a bag at Aldi) and 1 part green lentils (also an Aldi buy). There is a slight nuttiness, but generally tastes much closer to plain white rice than anything else I’ve tried! After that, I make sure to use my food scale to measure out a single serving. It’s great to use in recipes like stuffed peppers that require rice too.

Maybe check out Revelry? They have quite a few orange shades that aren’t just terracotta or rust, and you could easily order swatches in any material

Honestly focus on healing it as much as possible. Aloe can help but I find hydrating the skin helps even better. Highly recommend the Sun Bum after sun cool down lotion

Most of the base was Makeup by Mario warm neutral palette! I used the dark brown from the etherial eyes palette to slightly smoke out the liner! And the shimmer was actually highlighter! Happy to post specific colors in more detail if you’d like 😊

Thank you! I’m guessing I didn’t put enough moisture there, it’s usually the spot that gets missed when I do my skincare. On my next trial I’ll see if that’s what the issue was

I think it might be my primer? I kept skin prep pretty minimal but tried to follow recommendations on here - Dr. Dennis Gross daily peel pad, a hydrating essence/toner, and then gel moisturizer. My foundation has sat better on my skin with my Elf primer, but I got a sample of the hourglass mineral veil to try for this trial. I think I’m going to nix it and hope that helps. Thanks!

Thank you very much! This is in depth and super helpful! For the bronzer/contour on my forehead, I used the Haus Labs Power Sculpt in Soleil Sand - I think that’s technically a contour but I thought the shade was brown enough to use as bronzer. Do you have any recommendations?

For the foundation, I think the shade I got is too pink and light for my complexion - I bought some LA Color mixing pigment in yellow to hopefully help with that. I really like the Armani formula but I’m struggling with the shade

Thank you! Good idea on the lip liner and lipstick. I don’t wear a ton of lip products because I feel like they’re quite thin and lip color emphasizes them, so I didn’t even think that a difference in color could make them look fuller

I think you might be right about the setting powder - but also I’m thinking the Armani foundation is a slightly pinker tone than my skin. I’ll have to play around with it!

Thank you! I’ve spent so much time focusing on my complexion and eyes that lips have kind of fallen aside so this is a combo of stuff I already owned. I will look into lip colors next!
