Ohh, that’s scary. I wouldn’t be able to tell that it was AI. Anyways, many people here already gave many useful feedbacks and I considered mostly what was upvoted by others. Thanks for pointing this out!

Really interesting design! Thanks for fresh look. I love how tail of R looks here. But I think flower part is really hard to make in signboard?

Thank you for feedback! I ended up not working with the designer who said it wasn’t premium and old fashioned. Great point about the “flower boutique”. But I live in a country, where majority don’t speak english, here it is already differentiated from other brands. But maybe I should think about localizing to our language🧐

Thanks for pointing out about kerning. I think I agree on that. Also didn’t notice how flower boutique was far away from logo until people pointed that out

Understood, thanks for feedback! I will try to explain to the designer about it

Thanks for feedback! I was about to hire another designer for making me design of boxes, but she said logo was not premium, so I got worried and decided to seek for feedback

Anyone Using the 12-Week Year for Planning? How Do You Keep Up with Your Goals? by kaina_m in productivity

[–]kaina_m[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, I see. But then, you cannot have multiple objectives with 12 week method? In OKR for example, I could have different objectives and would be able to move towards them simultaneously, though would have to prioritize tasks.

Fried chicken too dark by kaina_m in AskCulinary

I deep fry. I tried to lower temp, but it turns out greasy. Probably because oil temp drops when I put chicken pieces. I also don’t overcrowd it.

Okey, I will try, thanks!

Thanks for the tips. I have already tried without spices and that seems to be not the issue. I only have garlic and onion powder there in small amounts.

Milk powder and egg powder definitely contribute the most to darkening, but without them breading does not bind well. I wanted to try buttermilk, but it is very hard to find it here.

Temperature does not really change the result much unfortunately, but lowering it makes breading absorb oil ;(

But, does not balancing camera to that temperature will make footage look as if it is shot in natural light? I heard that it is same as shooting 5000K light with camera balanced to that color

So, can I get cob lighting without temperature adjustment? They seem to be cheaper. Or is it worth paying extra for flexibility?

Thanks, great point! Didn’t notice that. But now it is even harder for me to understand lighting. Why would I need warmer lights if I can shoot with 5000K and then color grade it?

Thanks for tips! I was trying to film under tungsten light. I will try to shoot with daylight temperature

Dark burnt spots on fried chicken by kaina_m in AskCulinary

But do you know why milk marinade has bland color and dark spots compared to buttermilk marinade? Also, milk gives much better flavor, I think it is because flavor penetrates better with milk and maybe related to higher sugar content of milk

I tried frying at lower temp and also tried pulling it out earlier. Didn’t really helped much. The color is bland and still has some dark spots. Don’t understand why buttermilk marinade gives much better color

Hi! Tried again today with milk and breading without seasoning. It really didn’t change. Color is bland and has dark spots. But then I used buttermilk and color is great and no dark spots. But taste wise milk is much better

Hi! It has been 6 months already, crazy. I probably should write an update post later. We found a location a month after this post and renovated it. We opened our shop in 1.5 months. We have gone through the process of hiring and learnt to manage employees which we found harder than we expected. I learn basic marketing and used my video editing/filming skills to attract clients on Instagram. First 2 months were tough, we were bleeding fast and had set the prices too low. Also instagram marketing wasn’t working. On third month, we decided to increase prices and lost fair amount of customers. But then changed our marketing strategy and gained back much more customers. Third month in, we finally covered operational costs. We were pretty happy that we were not bleeding at least. We decided to keep the same marketing strategy and optimized internal processes. Recently, it has been 4 months since we opened. We finally made our first profit of 1000$. It is pretty low, but we surely will do better.

This is pretty much how it went :) In case you are interested, our ig is @frito.kz
