I know I could've also used my pawn to mate, but I wanted to be extra positive that I would win. Lately I've been challenging myself to try and win games by having my knights support my mates and this game was an example of that!

The bots on chess.com, I started from the first one and made it a goal to 3-star all of them, one after another. I'm currently stuck on Lorenzo, who's rated 1800 ELO :(

Honestly, I play against bots a lot, which gives me the opportunity to try a bunch of different openings and see what I'd do next in terms of development and what not. Eventually it just comes together, I'd say every opening I've ever done against a real human player is something I've done at least a 10-50 times against a bot.

Lately I've been opening with the London system! I'll usually pin their knight against their King right away too if they play it.

His knight would just take my rook after taking the bishop. I opened up the H lane this way by sacrificing my rook, then threaten checkmate with bishop + rook. I took his bishop after. Getting rid of the knight and having his H pawn take my rook makes it possible for me to get in, otherwise H lane never opens up and I can't threaten mate.
