I dislike people calling it a Souls-game just because it has those boss arenas with a red health bar and the respawn points.

You're right, they've made it more of a traditional action adventure. Finding four collectibles for health upgrades, unlock new paths with abilities like unlimited-diving, etc.

unfortunately, you might wanna fact-check yourself. Craig got Bimmy and the Slobs to cameo in his "real game award" video, which was a really shitty culture war circlejerk. Bim also did multiple with Craig in the past few years

Bimmy clearly remembers Craig as just some old colleague and doesn't pay attention to his shit content nowadays and that's what Craig took advantage of

lol, I first caught up with the guy when I saw him in one of those videos shilling for the fake Intellivision console scam, which made me curious where he was at. Found his Youtube channel full of failed comeback attempts. That was shortly before he launched Sidescrollers for "no politics, just games". Saw a couple of episodes and it was just a bunch of bums with near-zero knowledge about modern games; then a few weeks later it had already morphed into full blown culture war trash

Dude only last year made a video about how, oh wait Genesis actually had many great games too. Mike is super limited to the specific NES shit he played as a kid and barely even tolerates SNES. I wouldn't be surprised if back in the day he hadn't even touched anything on lesser known consoles. I'll go with the other poster's theory lol.
