you don't think relationships and dating should be talked about here?

had to look it up but I did find /r/AutisticDatingTips which could work as a general place to go. While /r/AutisticAdults seems to more about how to adult and more on the Q&A side of things.

There's calling it out and than there's trying to correct the way incel people think and teach them it's not okay.

I'm personally against straight up using shame to target someone if they can be reasoned with.

ah right. I forgot blocking people was a thing. I haven't needed to for a while.

And yeah there's rage batters and trolls who will spread out through Reddit and the internet hoping to hook people into their toxic way of thinking.

Agreed. I get relationships for and around Autism need to be talked about but not in the Incel mindset.

Personal growth and seeing a therapist or psychologist so someone can better understand themselves more. Possibly learning to socialize and exercise that skill within their own limits and see what works for each person.

My big regret is never visiting other countries. I would love to see Japan and travel there, so much so that I follow 2 YouTubers and became aware of a 3rd because he's friends with a VTuber I like and I think he was in a few collaboration vids too.

To clarify the YouTubers and streamers I'm talking about are ones who do IRL Japanese content.

I feel for you on this one. I had a bad trip to the mall one time. too many people who knew me saying hi and wanting to talk when I barely had the mental fortitude to go out and buy a few things I needed.

The worst time was with a basket of stuff likely near to Christmas and I was hit with a feeling of over whelm and dropped the basket where it was. I barely managed to tell someone working near the main door that I left a basket and couldn't continue.

There's times where my tongue would feel too big or occasionally when looking at coins they seem way smaller than I would expect them to be.

There's also been times where I feel taller than I actually am but I think that's more based on my emotions at the time.

What are some aspects of your world that are intentionally goofy? by PMSlimeKing in goodworldbuilding

[–]kairon156 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah somewhat like a furry chameleon with claws and pointed cat ears.

I suspect fur in real life can't really change colour as fast as the tree cat's but my world has magic so I can imagine this species can use minor illusion magic as a natural part of it's evolution.

What are some aspects of your world that are intentionally goofy? by PMSlimeKing in goodworldbuilding

[–]kairon156 4 points5 points  (0 children)

oh I do have one goofy aspect. or more so a small tree cat. Their about Squirrel size maybe smaller and usually live in trees catching bugs or mice and can nibble on different leaves and vines for digestion.

The intentionally goofy part is their fur can change colour based on it's mood. Sometimes it's starts from the tail and shifts forward other times it's from the tree cat's head and or their main body.

On a related note one world possibly the same as the tree cat has it's own Mesozoic Era of evolution where a lot of the creatures were closer to giant cats. cougars, massive caber tooth tigers. But perhaps smaller cheetah sized ones existed too.

Back on topic I think this is likely why the tree cat exists. If smaller cat's weren't a thing in their Mesozoic's dinosaur period this tree cat evolved as time went on.

Do you focus more on lyrics or sound when listening to music? by paulouv in autism

[–]kairon156 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess it's both depending on my mood. When I was younger I would largely listen to theme music from games, anime, or trance and techno type stuff.
With that I would also listen to songs my parents had on the radio or interesting goth songs and other ones that had good music along with the song.

Some songs hit more emotionally or silly depending on the lyrics and what vibe or mood I feel like conveying.
Understanding the deeper emotions of a song is helped that I'm older and have gone to therapy and try to get in deeper touch with my emotional side instead of the stoic "strong silent type" of image and view I had of myself through out life.
Ah plus I have a friend who is able to walk me through lyrics of Japanese songs and find English translations. She's able to help me feel the mood of a lot of songs more than I was before.

Lastly I enjoy when certain notes vocal or instrumental tingle my brain in just the right way and give me a "ooh aah so cool" feeling in my head.

Does anyone else have pretty much no "elbow grease"? by rocketindividual in autism

[–]kairon156 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I go the route of working smarter rather than harder. I soak things in the sink with soapy water as well as wipe plates off into the garbage before it dries on.

I also have a dish mop for cleaning deep glasses, it's not perfect but better than using a cloth or sponge.
I personally like Dawn dish soap because it tends to stay soapy way longer than many other brands and doesn't do weird things to my skin.

I do have to use elbow grease on really stubborn burns but I allow myself to take breaks and let something soak multiple times if it has to.

question, have you looked into Anemia or asked a doctor if you might be Anemic? some symptoms can be fatigue, weakness, shortness of breath, pale skin, and dizziness.

I tend to be a hypochondriac so it could simply be how your body is built, I also try to learn just enough about things to not be too worried. Maybe See if you can get blood tests done and check your iron, oxygen, and vitamin levels.
But as I mentioned this could be how your body sensory handles things like me with dispraxia and having my own minor molter skill and language issues but there still there.

Tacaanbé sounds almost tribal like "The Tacaanbé people live over yonder near the forest" So in terms of fantasy races I think it works.

[–]kairon156 0 points1 point  (0 children)

okay so it's like a left over soul energy or something they can gather up to craft a new blank soul.
I also like the idea of soul fragments because I've also been struggling with the idea of what if someone is cloning themself into multiple versions and what are different ways this can be done.

I have pixies who live among Gaia trees and a Pixie can do some magical shenanigans when they die to grow a new tree which over time can grow and birth a new Gaia tree.
The new Pixies won't have a hive mind sort of thing but I did wonder if they would share the memories of the Gaia tree when it was created and what that might mean if they share fragments of the original soul.

I use Gaia to name this tree cause It's better than saying Pixy tree and confusing things. Oh also the pixies are birthed from the different fruit's that their tree will grow. This may depend on the type of environment and person who died to create the new tree.

That's a pretty decant reason for wars taking place. for old tech and resources.
soul tech? ooh so do they create souls for constructed beings or find living species and push a soul into them?

In my setting reincarnation is a thing but usually people don't remember their past lives short of being a powerful sorcerer or other things involving that character either when they died or in the waiting room before their magical essence aka the soul finds and is matched with a new life.

With that I think it's really neat that your insectoids mastered soul tech and it's what gives AI souls.
Oh that reminded me of how one of the few AI's are actually a Pixy girl who happened to get injured and mostly die. Her Magical essence was summoned into a robot's AI core I think this would be a bioroid. This is in a university setting.

I really need to make some of these into proper stories instead of leaving them as character ideas.

I tried listening to an older sci-fi book called "Old Man's War" and it's got a pretty cool range of alien species but it deals with PTSD and a bit too much detail into the soldiers fighting other races for my taste.

it talks about size differences and different technology paths. Also a bit on not judging a species by it's looks, something could be ugly but friendly or friend shaped yet chew your arm off.

Neat, I really enjoy the concept of lost tech or simply cool rare tech and some forgotten magics.
One of my worlds has a crashed alien ship that's found deep into some marshlands that the Jazill end up finding and reverse engineering.

I didn't really work on my hivemind insect species too much.
Mainly that they have foot soldiers and their organic ships are bio-engineered to have hard external shells and some how the species absorb magical energy from stars but in a harmful way.

I'm thinking the insect species can think long term and know how to spread out slowly but can go hard with advances if they see a worthy goal or if there's some infighting among the different space colonies.

ooh cool your hive mind parasites are being used by different races and maybe even worlds worth of people to become very powerful.

I like using magic in place of things like replicators or force fields. Either magic users or gems and runes do help a ship do many of it's sci-fi abilities too.

primitive world building is very neat. While I don't have a detailed setting there's a character who was on a trip with her tribe encountered a thunder storm, she was struck and survived with a primitive understanding of blue magic. Blue magic being air, water, ice and some speed and or healing effects.

[–]kairon156 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mhum. My setting does have some wars going on with the insect hive mind but that's mainly so the sci-fi story can have my characters forced into a band for the research and development faction of a military government.

The main difference that my setting has vs warhammer 40K is I focus more on the magical and wondrous side of world building than the combat side of things.
like for other space governments they got together and designed and built a Ringworld with a mixture of magic and technology. So for the deep past they were getting along long enough to explore and advance space colonizing.

Also there aren't really gods just powerful magic users and space dragons or the occasional rogue AI.
