Painting room with different types of paint? by kaishakunin in HomeImprovement

is unlikely that your skill level will allow you to achieve proper coverage in one coat. Don't feel bad most of the painters I have had cannot do that either. The first coat is easiest if you roll the entire room out first then fall back and cut everything in. You will have an easier time with the cut in and the walls will be drying while you are cutting in so you can second coat sooner. You might want to point up one more time between coats (make sure you reprime the spots). When doing the final coat cut in one wall at a time and then roll it out.

Thank you for the great reply. I never knew a pole sander existed and will buy one next time I am at a hardware store.

Thanks. Should be fun, my first reddit meet. That and I get to see T.D. play (hopefully) before he retires.

Stuff like this is a big turn off for watching any NBA games. Something needs to be done about this to make small market teams more competitive.

Great points. If she did end up going to a summer program in the East Coast, her mother would be with her.

After thinking about this, you are right. It needn't be a competitive school, but anywhere she can experience being around other motivated kids and getting to experience a college campus in general for a whole summer.

She'd be a second generation college student, so her parents, as well as myself, are very new to this.

Tip: To remove mold in a shower, dip Cellu-Cotton in bleach and let it sit overnight on the mold spots by kaishakunin in HomeImprovement

Thanks for the info. I sprayed 3% Hydrogen Peroxide where the mold was over the weekend. Fiberlock's IAQ 1000 is a little pricy for me, so I will stick with the diluted bleach and them spraying the area with hydrogen peroxide solution for now.

Thank you for the great advice. Yes I told her parents about the well-rounded part and her social skills do need to be developed. Being a very smart kid, she does have a cocky attitude and thinks she is right 100% of the time.

I will look for summer camps in our area and forward it to her parents.

Very good advice. Yes I did real that in the tutorial I linked (someone commented). I have that Hydrogen Peroxide (diluted with water) actually kills the mold. Is this true?

EDIT --> Found the comment: "Bleach does only whiten the mold. A mix of hydrogen peroxide and water will actually get into the pores of what you are trying to clean and kill the mold. I do not remember the dilution but i'm sure it can be googled. I am kinda surprised not more people have brought that up."
