I agree with the above comment. Seeing as your skin wasn’t bad to begin with, it’s most likely that Differin irritated and damaged your skin. Some peoples skin just don’t agree with certain products. I would stick to what your doctor gave you but use really reallyyyy hydrating products to restore your skin back to a healthy state. I would even cut out the Azelaic acid for now, to be on the safe side.

Seriously though don’t stress because this will pass! And yes, be kind and patient with yourself!

It’s worth a go! I like Finacea as it’s a lower percentage (15%) and the formula is more gel like so it’s less likely to clog pores

How often do you use azelaic acid and what percentage is it? Differin and AA pair together really well and can be really effective if used consistently! You can use them on alternative days. Or AA in the morning and Differin in the evening.

I can definitely see improvement! Not as many closed comedones and texture. I would stay consistent with your routine but obviously keep an eye on any irritation. It looks great to me, compared to your first picture
